From USA Today Bestselling Author Devney Perry

One old farmhouse brought them together. It could also tear them apart.

Gigi has just uprooted her whole world to start a new life. The unexpected gift of a farmhouse in small-town Montana is just what she and her daughter need to escape big-city loneliness. The last thing she needs is attitude from the town’s sheriff, the most perfectly attractive and ruggedly handsome man she’s ever laid eyes on—and a complete jerk.

Jess knows all about women like Gigi. Beautiful. Sexy. Scheming. She’s stolen his sanctuary, the farmhouse that should have been his. But along with a face full of freckles, she’s got a sharp wit and a backbone of steel—something he doesn’t discover until after making a complete fool of himself. If he can earn back her trust and win her heart, he might just find the home he’s always needed.

NICUnurse’s Review of The Coppersmith Farmhouse by Devney Perry

A couple of years ago, Devney Perry shot to the near top of my automatic 1-click authors’ list with The Birthday List, then the first Tin Gypsy series book, Gypsy King. But there were a few of her backlist books I’d missed, so after devouring the rest of the published Tin Gypsy books and keeping up with each newly published book of both Devney and her pen name, Willa Nash, I’ve begun making my way through those books I’d missed. Then kicking myself for not finding her books sooner!

The Coppersmith Farmhouse is her debut book. (I’m pretty sure that’s correct, but someone correct me if I’m wrong!) If I had found this book first, she’d have immediately gone on my list of authors I enjoy reading sooner. It’s an enemies-to-lovers, small-town romance with all of the elements of a great book: wonderfully developed characters, an interesting and entertaining plot that keeps you turning the pages, and just the right combination of suspense and steam. Jess is a bit of a prick at first which had me wanting to give him a good, old-fashioned smack to the back of his head. But Gigi didn’t let him walk all over her, which had me giving her mental high fives for chapters. She’s a tough cookie (and a nurse, so there’s that), and he’s enough of a man to own up to his mistakes when he realizes he’s made them.

Even though I was able to figure out the twist in the suspense, I felt it was still well crafted, and that’s saying a lot. (I cut my literary teeth on Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys, and Nora Roberts later on.) And for a debut romantic suspense, I thought it was fantastic!

NICUnurse’s Rating: I give The Coppersmith Farmhouse by Devney Perry 4 out of 5 propellers!
