The Butterfly Effect by Kelly Elliott is now live!

The butterfly effect – one small change,
one moment in time that impacts the future.

At twenty-six years old I never dreamed I’d walk in on my husband in bed with my best friend. At twenty-seven years old I found myself divorced, and the mother of a one-year-old son. Never mind I was learning to take the reins of my family’s apple orchard business. There was no way my life could be any more complicated…or so I thought.

Can a woman who’s lost all trust in men help a man who can’t even trust himself?

Aiden O’Hara was my brother’s best friend, and I would be remiss if I said I hadn’t always found him utterly attractive–and the passing of time or circumstances didn’t change that. But when he moves back to Boggy Creek Valley after serving his time as a Navy SEAL, I cannot deny the pull I feel between us.

Aiden is haunted by his own demons–demons that seem bigger than the both of us–and my heart warns me to stay away. I’d been burned already and didn’t need that added complication in my life, or so I thought. But one moment in time changes everything between us, and neither one of us can deny the hidden feelings we share.

Our pasts want to keep us apart…our future will be up to the wings of fate.

The Butterfly Effect is book one in the Boggy Creek Valley series and is a stand-alone novel.

NICUnurse’s Review of The Butterfly Effect by Kelly Elliot

I read my first Kelly Elliot book, Wanted, years ago and fell in love with her writing, her characters, and their stories in that series long before I was a book reviewer or blogger. At some point, I kind of lost track of her new books but somehow found my way back to her with the Meet Me in Montana series. The Butterfly Effect kicks off yet another all-new series from this author, Boggy Creek Valley. It’s a brother’s best friend, second chance romance, and small-town romance book all rolled into one wonderfully romantic and emotional story.

This author writes really strong female protagonists, and Willa did not deviate from that. She’s probably one of the strongest heroines of any of Kelly Elliot’s female leads. She gave her heart to Aiden as a young teen and never really got it back. As a former military spouse, it was easy to understand Aiden’s desire to keep her away from that lifestyle. It’s not an easy one, and the more into special ops that someone is, the harder that lifestyle is to live. So the maturity had had to ignore his heart’s desire while he pursued his military dreams was amazing and really set the tone for how much Willa and I were willing to forgive him for. PTSD is different for everyone suffering from the affliction. Willa digging in her heels and refusing to leave him alone in his struggles made me love her that much more.

Willa and Aiden’s story quite simply warmed my heart, broke my heart, then wove it back together again. Sometimes you do find the love of your life when you’re very young. But the road to HEA isn’t always straight and flat. In Aiden and Willa’s case, it was so very rocky, with twists and turns neither of them could have ever anticipated. This book is just one more solid example of why I’ve been a fan of this author for so many years. I can’t wait to see what journey Kelly Elliot takes us on with the next book in her Boggy Creek Valley series!
