The Brazen by Willa Nash is now live!

Kerrigan Hale’s personal life is about as exciting as a bucket of tar. With hard work and hustle as her steadfast companions, who needs romance or adventure? Her empire in Calamity, Montana, isn’t going to build itself. For years, her mentor–and investor–helped make her dreams come true. Until his unexpected death put her fate in his grandson’s hands. A brazen billionaire, he seems intent on ruining Kerrigan’s life.

But if Pierce Sullivan thinks she’ll go down without a fight, he’s sorely mistaken. Pushed to the extreme, she drives to his ritzy mountain lodge to force the arrogant You Can Call Me Mr. Sullivan to hear her out. No sooner does she arrive than a snowstorm traps her with Pierce. Stranded together for days, she’s in for the battle of her life. Pierce is nearly irresistible by candlelight. Without his suits and fancy cars, he’s almost human. Except only a fool would let down her guard. And Kerrigan can’t risk her future. Not when she doesn’t know if he’s out to pilfer her dreams . . . or to steal her heart.

NICUnurse’s Review of The Brazen by Willa Nash

The Brazen is the third book in this author’s Calamity, Montana series. It’s no secret that Willa Nash is Devney Perry’s pen name. And I’ve been an avid (possibly rabid!) fan of hers for a while. When she announced that she’d be putting her pen name books in Kindle Unlimited, I was positively giddy. I’ve loved this series since book one, so even though you can read each one as a stand-alone title, I still highly recommend reading them all and reading them all in order. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in any of the previous books.

Kerrigan and Pierce’s story is an enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity contemporary romance. But it’s so much more than that. These two have pasts that have wrecked them, but one man brings them together. Kerrigan idolized him. Pierce hated him in the end. Watching each character unpack their history and try to move on was both heartwrenching and heartwarming. To say their story evoked plenty of emotion was an understatement. I loved how Pierce ultimately came to be Kerrigan’s fierce protector. I went from hating him in the beginning to feeling for him to swooning over him. And I was always 100% team Kerrigan when they clashed. Getting their HEA was a long, hard fight, but these two had enough stubborn tenacity yet were willing to open themselves up to being vulnerable with each other, which made me love them even more. In a nutshell, these two characters and their story were beautifully written in every way. And I can say that for every Willa Nash/Devney Perry book I’ve read so far.

If you’re in the mood for a complicated, kind of angsty (but not too angsty) emotional romance, this story is perfect. The story flows well, and beyond the romance, there’s so much more to unpack between these pages with Kerrigan’s family. The story never quite went in the direction I anticipated, which had me anxiously turning the pages, unwilling to put the book down until I hit the end. With the teaser for the next book thrown in at the end, she’s already hooked me on it!

NICUnurse’s Rating: I give The Brazen by Willa Nash 5 out of 5 propellers
