Keegan O’Callaghan has been told he’s married to his pub. It’s true. He’s happiest when he’s pulling taps and filling drink orders, so long as he can keep an eye on his family and ensure that all is well. Bringing a woman into his life for anything but a pleasant, short-term romp isn’t even on his radar.

Until she comes running through his door, soaking wet and in a princess gown.

Isabella Harris ran out on her wedding, and she’s not even a little bit sorry. She may have loved her groom a long time ago, but standing there about to take her vows, she realizes it’s not right. And that’s all she needs to know. Four hours later, she finds herself on a tiny island outside of Seattle, walking into a random Irish Pub and locking eyes with the sexiest bartender she’s ever seen. But now what? She’s alone and broke, with only a wedding dress to her name.

Despite the undeniable attraction between them, Keegan can see that Izzy’s scared and alone. The job offer he extends is only until she gets back on her feet—he has no intention of keeping her.

But sometimes Fate has other plans…

NICUnurse’s Review of Escape With Me by Kristen Proby

Long-time Kristen Proby fan here, and it all started with her With Me In Seattle series sometime in 2014 with the first book, Come Away With Me. Since then, I’ve come to love the Wiliams/Montgomery families and those they consider family. And now, I’ve fallen in love with the O’Callaghan family, as well. Needless to say, Escape With Me has been on my TBR list for quite some time! It’s a part of this long-running series. However, all of the books are written as standalone titles, so you really can jump in at any point and not miss a beat. If you’re a hard-core series lover like I am and have the time to devote to this entire series, it’s absolutely worth reading from the beginning.

What I Liked Most About the Book: Um…really, all of it. When you’re this devoted to a series, it’s tough NOT to love each book, no matter where the story takes you. But if I had to pick one thing, it would be our hero, Keegan. Thanks to Nora Roberts, I have a healthy obsession with all things Irish, and just imagining him talking with a faint Irish brogue had me swooning! The added bonus is how much of a squishy heart he has. Keegan has grown his pub into everything you’d expect from an authentic Irish pub: Good times, good food, and a great pint of Guinness always to be had. And the O’Callaghan family is everything you’d expect of a tight-knit Irish family: loveable, welcoming, and stubborn beyond belief.

NICUnurse’s Rating: It’s hard to find more to say about this story other than it’s the perfect next book for this series. The characters are wonderfully loveable, even if they can be stubborn and frustrating at times. It wasn’t terribly angsty, which was nice. I like angst, but sometimes a story that simply seems to flow through a natural progression of the relationship between the hero and heroine is nice. Izzy had a lot to learn about herself and a lot of personal growth to achieve, and watching her emerge from her shell was quite satisfying. So far, I do believe Keegan and Izzy are my favorite O’Callaghan couple. But I’m sure I’ll love the next one as much, or more than I’ve loved them all.

I give Escape With Me by Kristen Proby 5 out of 5 propellers!
