I love a good Hallmark movie so when they got into publishing I’ve been picking up a book here and there to see if they live up to the Hallmark brand. Good for me the ones I’ve chosen so far have been right in line with the feel good brand. Teri Wilson seems to be a writer a few of us here at the Wickedcoolflight blog love and read frequently. I was actually surprised I was the only one to jump on this story. The blurb was so cute and I love a good Cinderella story with a Fairy Godmother. I remember seeing the cartoon in the theater with my Mom and the magic just made me smile and dream. I know I’ve dated myself…Anyhoo–Back to the book.

This Cinderella story is unique in it’s the first one I’ve read about an amusement park employee and how she gets her happily ever after amongst all the magic. I think we get a small glimpse into what it’s like to be a character at a park, which I’ve aways wondered about. On top of her character role at the theme park, Lacey, is also a very intuitive, emotionally intelligent, kind person. It surprising the way she weaves these aspects of Lacey personality into the story. She gives her tiny moments to make a difference in someone’s life, almost as if she is fairy godmother of sorts.

Henry is just a guy trying to figure out love when all everyone wants is a piece of you or something from you. When he realizes Lacey isn’t that sort of person, he yearns for what he’s never really had…a real relationship. Lucky for him his stars will align and they will both get their happily ever after in grand Hallmark style. The detail of the locations and the personalities of everyone really shine in this story.

i wouldn’t be surprised if this story got picked up for a movie, which I’d love to watch. It’s such a joyful story full of small amazing moments. There is really no end to where this fairytale could take you. I’m giving this a 5 of 5 and can’t wait for you to read and share your thoughts with me.
