Rule #1: Donโ€™t fall in love with your best friend.

Tally Kerr broke Rule #1 over a decade agoโ€”a mistake that ended in the worst way possible.

Rule #2: Donโ€™t date an artist.

Tally recently broke Rule #2, and the artist broke up with her. The consequence? Sheโ€™s stuck curating a three-week exhibit for the jerk, and the only thing worse than dealing with him and his new girlfriend are the pity looks from the other artists.

So, she calls in a favor from her former best friend.

Sam Deschenes didnโ€™t expect to see Tally again. And he knows heโ€™s to blame. So when she says sheโ€™s coming to town and needs his help, Sam canโ€™t say noโ€”not even when she asks him to be her pretend boyfriend.

Tally wants nothing more than to forget Arizona, which is why this charade is critical. Sheโ€™ll replace all her memories with fake ones and prove she never really loved Sam.

As the days tick by, remembering Arizonaโ€”and all the reasons she fell for her best friendโ€”come too easily. When their scorching desire incinerates the line between real and fake, will Tally keep up the act or will she break rule number one all over again?

NICUnurse’s Review of Remember Arizona by Dr. Rebecca Sharp

Remember Arizona is the 7th book in Dr. Rebecca Sharpโ€™s Country Love collection of books. Itโ€™s not so much a series, so if youโ€™re not a series fan, itโ€™s a great option. None of the characters overlap. The collection is inspired by some of the authorโ€™s favorite songs, and thatโ€™s the unifying theme. I have only read three of the books in the collection so far, but this one is my favorite by far. But I think Iโ€™m partial to the second-chance romance trope. And Remember Arizona is a second-chance romance (of sorts) with a fake dating relationship thrown in.

Let me just say that there was a particular part of this book where I shed a few tears, mostly because I shared a similar heartbreak when I was a teen. And I got my second chance eventually, as well. So this story resonated with me. I saw a lot of myself in Tally. And a lot of my husband in Sam. Our story is pretty different, but I was able to really feel the emotional connection to them because I related to them so much in real life. Thatโ€™s not to say that the plot wasnโ€™t great. As far as the fake relationship trope goes, I felt like this one was much better than most that Iโ€™ve read because there was such an emotional history between Tally and Sam.

Iโ€™ve been reading books by Dr. Rebecca for a little while now, and at first, I was on the fence as to whether she was going to turn out to be someone whose work Iโ€™d consistently read. However, over the last year, Iโ€™ve seen a shift and a growth in her writing that has me continually picking up her books regularly. Suffice it to say, sheโ€™s completely won me over and is now on my automatic 1-click list, and this book was just one more reason to enjoy her work.

NICUnurseโ€™s Rating: I give Remember Arizona by Dr. Rebecca Sharp 5 out of 5 propellers!
