Fallen Jester by Devney Perry is now live!
Leo Winter loves his life. He works when he needs money. He rides when he craves freedom. He frequents the local bar when he wants a good time. The Tin Gypsies might be a memory, but the bachelor life he lived with his motorcycle club still suits him fine. So when a one-night stand surprises him at a family barbecue and claims she’s pregnant with his child, he’s certain he’s died and gone to hell.
Cassandra Cline took one night off from her structured life. One. And now her wild fling with the local bad boy has turned her life sideways. Her dreams and academic career are circling the drain, and none of it would have happened if she’d stayed far, far away from Leo. Except avoiding him is impossible, especially when she’s forced to move home to Clifton Forge, Montana. And he refuses to leave her side when a series of strange accidents put her and their baby at risk. But are they accidents? Or is she standing in the middle of a battlefield she doesn’t understand? Her only allies are people she barely knows. And a man who has the potential to steal her heart. If only he’d stop playing the fool.

NICUnurse’s Review of Fallen Jester by Devney Perry
I have been waiting for this book for what felt like forever. But boy, was it so worth the wait!
I’m not an MC fan by any stretch of the imagination, so when I first read the blurb to Gypsy King, I was very wary despite my love of this author’s words. (It’s not an MC book, by the way, despite being about a former MC.) I was already a huge fan of Devney Perry’s work by then, so I decided to give it a try. And from the very first chapter, I was in love, and there have been zero regrets since. I’ve already reread the entire series (at least all of the books that are out so far), and once the final book releases, I’ll reread the whole darn thing. Again. And again. And again.
The Tin Gypsy series is hands down one of my most favorite series ever. Fallen Jester is book five of the series, but you can read it as a standalone. However, as a serious fanatic about the books in this series, I’d absolutely say you’re missing out if you don’t read them all. But if you’re not willing to invest the time and money into five (and eventually the sixth book because I promise you’ll want to know how this all wraps up), this book gives you enough backstory that you’re not going to feel lost with the plot or with the characters. And Devney Perry does it without making it feel like a massive information dump. Y’all. I have to say it one more time, though, because yes, I love this series that much… Read. Them. All!
I know you’re tired of me waxing poetic over my love of this series, so let’s get down to the nitty-gritty and review this bad boy.
Leo Winter is the bad boy of Clifton Forge. As a member of the now-disbanded MC gang, the Tin Gypsys, his no commitment, fun times only way of life has already started to wear on him, despite desperately missing his club days. Still, he’s not letting anyone in on that little secret. And good girl, studious Cassie only deviated from her usual one night after suffering the trauma of being kidnapped right out of her parents’ driveway. Now, there are huge ramifications. Some obvious, and others not so obvious. Leo is a true Byronic hero, determined to do what he truly believes is the right thing, the hard thing, and leave Clifton Forge for everyone’s sake. But there’s too much that he just can’t let go of and be happy. However, finally admitting that to himself, and to Cassie, is a rollercoaster ride of epic proportions.
There’s so much unpacked between the pages of this story. It’s not just a surprise pregnancy story. It’s also a suspense because suddenly, the accidents surrounding Leo aren’t random. It’s an opposites-attract and small-town story too. And at its core, it’s one of forgiveness and redemption. The road to redemption is rocky, and forgiveness comes at a high price. But never fear. Cassie and Leo do get their HEA. It’s just a very wild ride to get there. It wouldn’t be a Tin Gypsy book if it weren’t, though. And this story alternates between so much angsty emotion and fast-paced suspense; it literally kept me on the edge of my seat (and up way too late!). I devoured it in one sitting, and once again, I regret nothing!
NICUnurse’s Rating: I don’t think it comes as a surprise that I give Fallen Jester by Devney Perry 5 out of 5 propellers and would give it more if I could!
