By far her best work in my opinion–Fly Girl

Fly Girl’s Review

I’m sure you are reading this thinking, this is totally biased on my part and you’d be partially right. I’ve read pretty much everything she’s written, since she is my BFF so I think I might be an expert on her work. At least in how far she’s come since her first book. Not that I didn’t like Her Legacy, I actually loved the second iteration of it. It was much more detailed and more of the story she had been telling me about forever. Also, I’ve loved her One of the Boys series, but there have been a few issues I’ve discussed, like not long enough or needed a little more back story. I do believe her Cop Shop series is going to blow all of us away as she gets into it, just based on how much in the last 4 years her writing has grown and you can see she’s exploring more deep emotions.

This book for example really shows the heroine’s feelings a lot and explores the sacrifice she feels she made to stick by her love throughout his career during good and bad times. As someone who has been there, done that, it is so true to the heart. I bet every single person who has been in those shoes felt the same way. Maybe not the same experiences, but definitely the feelings. She shows how it isn’t just his career, but it’s hers as well and since it’s from her point of view it does a good job.

The more interesting part is that a lot of what is in the story is based off her own life experiences and because I went through some of those with her, I could tell it was from the heart and she dug deep for that emotion. If you’ve followed Teresa’s work, you know she is a pantser not only in writing, but in story ideas. She tends to write what she is feeling the most, whether it may be a romance, paranormal mystery, new adult fiction, or horror. She writes what she’s thinking. I think if we support her in this style rather than pressuring her to write to finish a series she has in mind to do, we will get better-stronger-more emotional work from her. I think that translates to more HEA’s. Even in horror there’s an end that gives you some relief at least someone made it out alive.

If you want a good taste of Teresa’s skill, this is a great one to pick up…Also, did I mention it’s free!! I mean what do you have to lose. I think you will beg for more. After all, isn’t that what we all want?
