From the New York Times bestselling author of Pucked and A Lie for a Lie, a new stand-alone romance about trading favors, battling wills, and winning love.
When I joined Seattle’s NHL expansion team, I thought it was the start of something great. But nothing ever goes the way you expect. Take my introduction to my new neighbor. She came rolling in on the hot mess express at midnight, making a racket while she tried to get into my team captain’s apartment. Did I mention that he’s married to a woman who definitely was not her?
Imagine my surprise when I end up with an injury that has me out of the game for weeks, and she’s the one to offer to help me. I should probably add that she’s not the captain’s mistress. She’s his sexy, pastel-haired younger sister.
So we come up with an arrangement: she rehabs me so that I can get back on the ice sooner, and she can add a professional athlete that isn’t her brother to her client list. Seems simple enough. As long as I can keep my hands to myself and my hormones in check.

Fly Girl’s Review:
I love hockey romance. Helena Hunting is one of the best writers of it too. Lucky for us she has no shortage of tales to tell that are heartwarming, funny, sexy, and hot. This one is just as good as the others in the series. The challenges just get harder. At least from my perspective.
Both characters are trying to keep their lives on the down-low. Both just moved to the city and don’t want to bring any drama with them. She’s constantly been in the spotlight since she was in high school because her brother was suck a success at hockey and loved the ladies. It took it’s toll on her so much, that she never goes to games even though her brother is the team captain. Her biggest fear is being swarmed by fans who try to use her to get to her brother.
He on the other hand was quite the trouble maker on his last team and is looking for a fresh start. He thought he’d get one, but finds out he has to play second fiddle to her brother the team captain. He tries a little to hard and gets injured in an opening game and is just looking to get ahead in rehab so he can get back on the ice to secure his position on the team and tame his reputation. He discovers she is a therapist and they strike up an agreement. She helps him and he gives her some street cred with her job since she is fresh out of school.
It all seems like it’s working fine when they discover there is more between them than physical therapy. He understands her story and becomes the most protective “friend’ on the planet to keep her out of the spotlight. But they both realize that isn’t going to work and they both make some sacrifices to be with each other. The least of which is standing up to her brother and him working without a grudge to secure place on the team.
We eventually get our HEA after lots of shenanigans and a varied underwear drawer. The laughs are in there as well as a little bit of drama. There is a lot emotion as they both work through their hang ups and perceived expectations of family and friends. If you ever had social anxiety, this one will definitely resonate with you. I’m giving it a 4.5 of 5 and will happily find another series of hers to pick up and enjoy. Remember, these are all stand alones, but the stories are stronger when read in order.
