So you think of an anthology and you think, novella, alright I can handle that…No, the Top Shelf Romance anthologies are full length novels. Well worth the money you pay. I’m only going to review one of them here, but feel free to read the whole lot and let us know what you think of some of the other stories. We’d love to hear from our passengers.

I chose Pucked Love by Helena Hunting. I’ve been slowly working my way through a few of her titles lately including A Lie for a Lie, A Secret for a Secret and A Favor for a Favor, so I figured I’d continue my tour of her that hockey team with this one. It was an amazing read that I think took about 1.5 evenings to finish reading. It was quick, well paced, and full of nitty-gritty emotions just like I love.

The hilarious chaos Darrin and Charlene find themselves in is wonderful. Darrin is the stoic man trying to figure out how to love someone and show it to them. He’s not the best with words, but definitely with actions. Every time he does something nice for Charlene I just wanted to swoon. Then there would be comedic scene after that because of something she interprets wrong or because of both of their families. I’m not going to ruin the surprise, but their families are on the extremes of some crazy s**t!! Where Helena comes up with this stuff, I’m not sure but it sure makes for great entertainment. I could definitely see this as movie on HBO or Starz. Anyway both families bring much embarrassment and challenges to Darrin and Charlene.

Darrin and Charlene handle these bad, good, crazy, embarrassing, loving relationships in great form. They are both full of emotion…Charlene on the outside, Darrin on the inside but the love they feel for one another brings them together and allows them to work out a good relationship in the end. As always Helena brings us our HEA.

One warning. If you are not into or accepting of the adult porn industry including: toys, movies, stars, and publishing; you will want to skip this one. If you don’t mind those things, have a good laugh and revel in the romance that is about to overtake you and keep you up past bedtime just to find out what comes next. I’m giving this 4.5 of 5 because it is that good. Go–Read–Enjoy!!!
