Perfect for You by Lea Coll is now live!

What starts as a blind date makes them see so much more…

REID

Football. It’s who I am; it’s what I do.

But one blind date changes everything. I was prepared for a crazed fan–a cleat chaser. But Dylan Gannon is far from that. She’s a gorgeous, charismatic woman who always gets what she wants. This time, she wants me.

Thankfully, the date, a publicity stunt, is just for show. Dylan Gannon is the exact opposite of what I want. This woman craves attention, drawing people to her like a moth to a flame. And I have no intention of getting burned.

After all, I have a secret that I’ll never reveal-not even to an irresistible woman like her.

DYLAN
Reid Everson is the perfect spokesman for my charity.

I’ll do anything to persuade the sexy football star. I will stroke his ego, flirt a little, and promise him good publicity. But, he’s nothing like the other men I’ve known. Reid wants nothing to do with me. With his quiet and brooding focus on sports, he’s a challenge I plan to win.

It’s time for me to open up-and show him the real me. Despite our differences, he’ll see I’m perfect for him.

NICUnurse’s Review of Perfect for You by Lea Coll

Perfect for You is the third book in Lea Coll’s Annapolis Harbor series. All of the books are written as interconnected stand-alone titles. You can start with this book and not feel lost or left wondering who all of the characters are and how they relate. However, I’m a series junkie, so my default is always to recommend starting a series from book one. I have genuinely enjoyed Lea Coll’s writing, so I recommend reading all of the books in this series in order. She’s a fairly new-to-me author, but I’m ever so slowly working my way through her backlist, and I can honestly say I’ve yet to be disappointed by any of her books that I’ve read.

NICUnurse’s Rating: Confession time. Sports romances are not my favorite ones to read. But there are a few authors that I enjoy their writing enough to give each of their sports romances a try. And Lea Coll is one of them. Perfect for You was hands down a wonderful read for me because of our brooding, introverted hero, Reid. I hate cocky sports heroes. But Reid is so far from that. He’s hiding something, and because of that secret, he’s often judged wrongly. I relate to that on so many levels, and that’s probably why I adored this character. And I could also relate to Dylan in a way, so I was rooting for her to open up about her secret, as well. Both characters are so afraid of the judgments they will receive that they had a hard time taking a chance on each other. There were so many times in this story where I wanted to push them, to yell at them that it was OK to be open and honest about their struggles, and I just wanted to hug them and give them unconditional understanding. Obviously, I related to this book on a very personal level.

Over the years that I’ve been reviewing books, I’ve realized that the books I don’t care for are ones where I don’t connect with the main characters at all. Yep, I’m a character girl. I can overlook small plot problems, some proofreading errors, and other similar issues. But if I don’t like at least one of the main characters, my brain can’t stay focused on the story. Lea Coll spends a lot of time developing her characters so that emotional connection happens early on, even when I don’t have a personal experience to relate to their issues. It’s that element of her writing that has drawn me to her work, and I think it’s one of the reasons I tend to binge on her series books. So, suffice it to say that I’m most definitely looking forward to the next Annapolis Harbor book!

I give Perfect for You by Lea Coll 4.5 out of 5 propellers!
