Growing up, Griffin Thorne was the most annoying, adorable, and infuriating boy I’d ever met. I told myself I wanted nothing to do with him, but no matter how much I tried to hate him, that crazy boy somehow became my best friend.

As teenagers, we were inseparable. Despite the high school rumors, we never crossed any lines. Friends forever. That was our motto.

Griffin grew up to become a smoking hot firefighter and I got my dream job as the town librarian. Life was perfect. However, when tragedy strikes and we’re forced to move in together, our friendship is put to the biggest test yet.

Do I risk everything for the chance at an epic love? If I follow my heart, I could lose my best friend. But if it works, we could finally get our very own Happily Ever After.

BlueSeal’s review of Overdue by Miranda Elaine

I was first introduced to Miranda Elaine when I read Fixing Him, a Fixing Novel.  I became an instant fan and rushed to read the first book in the series, Fixing Her, then anxiously awaited Fixing Us.  Miranda quickly became one of my go-to authors because she always delivers a very healthy dose of “sinfully sweet romance” and characters who make you laugh out loud.  To say that I was excited to have the opportunity to read Overdue is a gross understatement.  Grab your afternoon coffee and let’s chat about Overdue by Miranda Elaine.

Griffin Thorne is every woman’s dream man.  He is a beloved small-town boy who grew up to be a cat rescuing, Mr. July in the annual calendar, fireman.  Griffin owns his own house and has his dream job but there is just one problem.  He is in love with his childhood best friend and she doesn’t have a clue.  The entire town knows how Griffin feels about Leni and they want nothing more than these two best friends to pull their heads out of their butts.

Leni has suffered so much loss in her short lifetime.  When Leni’s mother died, part of her died with her.  Griffin stepped up and became her lifeline and Leni will forever be grateful but she is convinced that something bad will happen to everyone that she loves.  The fear of losing Griffin is enough for Leni to push him away even if it breaks her heart…and his.

This is a beautiful love story told from both Leni and Griffin’s perspectives.  Leni and Griffin are a great couple and it was fun to watch their relationship develop through the use of flashbacks.  This is an emotional story that deals with some hard-hitting topics so be prepared to laugh and cry.

My rating of Overdue by Miranda Elaine…5 out of 5 propellers!
