NICUnurse’s Review of Muses & Melodies by Rebecca Yarros

Muses & Melodies is the third book in the multi-author Hush Note series. All three of the books can be read as standalone titles, but with the series limited to just three books, I highly recommend reading all of them.

What I Liked Most About the Book: Rebecca Yarros is an incredibly talented writer and storyteller. But she’s one of the best at writing books that feel like they are wringing your heart out of all the emotions that could ever be stored within. Muses & Melodies tackles the incredibly heavy issue of addiction, and she does this with incredible heart and compassion in Nixon and Zoe’s story. As tortured as Nixon is, he’s not a bad guy. He’s actually quite fiercely loyal to his bandmates, and an incredibly good friend to those in his close circle. And Zoe is one strong gal. She doesn’t see herself in that way in the beginning, but when it finally sinks in, she is one tenacious and courageous lady. 

NICUnurse’s Rating: For long-time Rebecca Yarros fans, the trip back to Legacy, Colorado is just the icing on the cake in Muses & Melodies. There really isn’t anything in this book that I was disappointed with. With each new release, her talent shines more and more, and I can honestly still say that you can pick any of her books to read and not be disappointed at all. You might need tissues from time to time, but you won’t be disappointed. Filled with heart, soul, emotion, and a few laugh-out-loud moments, Muses & Melodies will keep you entertained from page one until the very end.
