Don’t fall for your enemy…especially when he’s your new roommate.

Dean Evans is the worst.
Not only does the devil in disguise steal my pie on a regular basis, he also lives in the apartment right. Next. Door.
I see him all the time. At the mailboxes. In the elevator.
Every single morning.
It’s exhausting because he’s exhausting.

Now, after setting his apartment on fire, he’s my roommate…and he’s the worst at that too.

I don’t know what possessed me to let him stay with me. Pity, perhaps?
I do know that I won’t be falling for his charm.
Or that panty-dropping smirk.
His quick wit.
That body he works so hard for.

Nope. Not falling for any of it…least of all him.

There might be a fine line between love and hate, but I know exactly where I stand.

NICUnurse’s Review of Loathe Thy Neighbor by Teagan Hunter

Loathe Thy Neighbor is the first book in the all-new series, Roommate Romps, by Teagan Hunter. I’ve been a fan of this author’s writing for quite some time. There’s something about the way she tells a story that totally appeals to me, and it’s hard to find a book by her that I haven’t adored. This one is certainly no exception.

What I Liked Most About the Book: I loved how clueless Dean and River are about their attraction. It reminded me of how elementary and middle school boys and girls act when they aren’t sure how to process their feelings beyond friendship for one another. Pushing each other’s buttons has become a way of life for these two, which causes some hilariously awkward moments for them both…as well as some steamy ones. And their obsession with pie…it made me wonder if that was a nod at the movie, American Pie.

NICUnurse’s Rating: There’s a fine line between love and hate, and Dean and River think they are firmly on the side of hate. For these two who think they have it all figured out, they aren’t as in touch with their emotions as they would like to think, and denial isn’t just a river in Egypt! Sometimes it really is hard to see the forest for the trees, and their story is just that. They are so focused on thinking they hate each other, they can’t see what literally everyone else around them can see. There were scenes that absolutely reminded me of how an episode of Friends would play out, only with less awkward characters as both Dean and River give off the “I’m totally confident in myself” vibes rather than the socially awkward characters in the said TV show.

Teagan Hunter does rom-com so well that you’ll find yourself literally laughing out loud, but there’s enough depth and heart in her writing that it won’t leave you longing for more from her stories or her characters. So, if rom-com is what you’re looking for, this book absolutely delivers.

I give Loathe Thy Neighbor by Teagan Hunter 4.5 out of 5 propellers!

Meet Teagan Hunter

I’m a Missouri-raised gal but currently live in North Carolina with my US Marine husband and 9-year-old dog. I spend my days begging him for a cat, and I survive off coffee, pizza, and sarcasm. When I’m not writing, you can find me binge-watching various TV shows, especially Supernatural and One Tree Hill. I like cold weather, buy more paperbacks than I’ll ever read, and I never say no to brownies.

Writing is my passion, and this is just the beginning of my journey.
