NICUnurse’s Review of The Dating Itinerary by Brooke Williams

Brooke Williams is a new-to-me author, but I’m going to say right off the bat that I’m going to be digging into her backlist soon! The Dating Itinerary had it all: lots of laughs, some angsty moments, and some emotional scenes that really tugged at my heartstrings.

What I liked most about the book: It totally entertained me. Now, I know that sounds simplistic, but I liked the whole package of this story so, so much that it’s hard to separate all the elements that I loved about it out. While our reality is pressing down on us so hard right now, I’ve found that unless I really connect with the story and an author’s writing, it’s hard for me to truly escape into the book’s world lately. And while it may be a bit of a dysfunctional coping mechanism, that’s what books have always been about for me: escaping into a fictional world that doesn’t want to let me go. The Dating Itinerary did this job so very well!

NICUnurse’s Rating: Not only is this book an enemies-to-lovers trope, but it’s also a bit of a coming of age story as both Penny and Geo/George have a lot of personal growth throughout. They learn to look beyond the surface, that sometimes things aren’t always as they seem, and turning lemons into lemonade can bring about some of the sweetest times in our lives. If you’re looking for a contemporary romance that’s going to leave you feeling uplifted and smiling, this book is going to be a hit for you. It’s just an all-around, feel-good story!

I give The Dating Itinerary by Brooke Williams 5 out of 5 Propellers!
