Crush by Kelsie Rae is now live!

Don’t miss this emotionally charged, friends-to-lovers contemporary romance written in K. Bromberg’s Everyday Heroes Worlds project!

Ben

I’m a doctor, but I couldn’t save my wife. Now I’m just the wounded widower who buries himself in faceless women and his work.

And I’m okay with that.

Then Marcy steps into my office. Sparks fly during her first appointment, so I ask if she’s looking for a friend with benefits.

That’s when things get messy.

I can’t hold onto a new crush without letting go of my past…but my wife deserves more than that.

Marcy

I signed up to be a surrogate because the dating pool is that shallow. Go figure that fate would screw with me as soon as I check in at my first doctor’s appointment.

It’s official. I’ve hit a new rock bottom.

Now I’m stuck drooling over my obstetrician.

When he asks if I’d be interested in casually hooking up, I jump in with both feet. But as I get to know him better, I start to wonder if he’d ever be interested in pursuing something real, or if I’d always be lost in his deceased wife’s shadow.

BlueSeal’s Review of Crush

The Everyday Heroes World stems from three books by K. Bromberg about three brothers who are all first responders.  Loved for their hard-hitting emotions and their high heat factor, the Malone brothers have captured hearts.  Now, other talented authors have integrated their words into the small town of Sunnyville and the Malone family.  Bromberg’s already established worlds inspired all of the books in the KB Everyday Heroes World, but the participating authors write a wide variety of genres.  If you have followed the Wickedcoolflight blog for very long, you know that Kelsie Rae is one of our favorite authors, and we were so excited that her book Crush was chosen to be a part of the Everyday Heroes project.  Grab an afternoon drink – make it something cold because 1) it is hot outside, and 2) this book is HOT!

How many of you Kelsie Rae fans loved her book, Anthony?  Me!!  Guess what? Crush is also part of Kelsie’s Signature Sweetheart Series in that Anthony and Sway’s characters are major players in Crush.  How?  You will have to wait and see.

Marcy has decided that finding the right man, getting married, and having kids is not going to happen for her.  After careful consideration, Marcy has decided to become a surrogate.  Her healthy uterus is being used by the sweetest, respectful, and supportive couple who were unable to conceive without modern medicine and needs someone to be their “oven” for nine months.  There is just one complication – the drool-worthy, widowed Dr. Benjamin Bennett.

Dr. Ben’s wife and unborn child died in a tragic car accident, leaving him a broken man.  He had the perfect wife and lost her so he never plans to remarry.  Dating app hookups are all that he’s looking for until the day that Marcy walks into his OBGYN practice.  No patient has ever affected Dr. Ben the way Marcy did.  There was an instant connection and lots of sensual moments.

When Ben and Marcy find each other on a dating app, the sparks really being to fly and a beautiful, hilarious friendship develops.  Their relationship is a roller-coaster and Kelsie makes you feel every single rise and fall just as if you were in the seat next to them.

In complete and total honesty, Crush is Kelsie’s best book to date! I have read all but four of her books (which will be resolved very soon) and her writing just gets better with each book.  There was a time in Crush where she broke my heart.  I was reading late at night and had to get out of bed so that I would not wake up my husband because of the crying.  Talk about hard-hitting emotions! Did I put the book down and go to sleep?  Of course not, I had to see how things were going to resolve between Ben and Marcy and did so right before my husband got up from work.  The next day I was sporting a serious book hangover but it was worth it.  Kelsie’s specialty is developing characters that you either love or love to hate.

My rating of Kelsie Rae’s Crush….5 out of 5 propellers!

Meet Kelsie

Kelsie is a sucker for a love story with all the feels. When she’s not chasing words for her next book, you will probably find her reading or, more likely, hanging out with her husband and playing with her three kiddos who love to drive her crazy.
She adores photography, baking, her two dogs, and her cat. And now that she’s actively pursuing her writing dreams, she’s set her sights on someday finding the self-discipline to not binge-watch an entire series on Netflix in one sitting.
