This one is out of order in the series, but is a stand alone. Kristen Ashley’s second favorite series by many is her Dream Man series. Wild Man is book two and is hot as hell!!
She’s about to walk on the wild side . . .
While filling the display case in her bakery, the bell over the door sounds and Tessa O’Hara looks up to see the man of her dreams. Within thirty seconds he asks her out for a beer. But after four months of dating, she discovers he’s an undercover DEA agent-and he’s investigating her possible role in her ex-husband’s drug business. For Tess, this means their relationship is over.
Brock disagrees. He’s committed to his anti-drug mission, but he’s fallen in love with the beautiful woman who’s as sweet as her cupcakes-and he’ll do anything to win her back. Standing between Tess and Brock are their own exes, one of them a drug lord who’s determined to get what he wants. Now as danger threatens, can Brock break the rules he’s lived by and let loose his wild side to protect the woman he loves?

Fly Girl’s Review
I grabbed this one on Audible because I’ve got so many books on my TBR pile that I need to actually read that aren’t in Audible so I decided to try this one. I’m in Kristen Ashley’s book group and her fans really love this series, almost as much as Rock Chick. It was definitely worth the listen. I was not disappointed and when I have time, I’ll be listening to the rest of them. Not sure when that will be, but definitely will be listening.
Many of you know I’ve read or listened to a few of Kristen Ashley’s books and will be doing another review next week on her highly anticipated The Rising series that first released in Audible. This review references a few of her other books characters so if you want to read those reviews I’ll post the links at the bottom of the review.
Brock and Tessa are so hot on the pages, or ears in this case, that I had to stop listening at work…it was getting me too wound up, if you know what I mean!! I love when Tessa figures out he’s undercover and believes it was all in his job. She is so fired up, it makes me realize we women have way more strength than we think we do. Kristen shows us her feminist side in Tessa’s character. She doesn’t always give us super strong women in her books, but this one is quite the change. I can’t wait for you guys to hear about some of her other strong women she put in The Rising. Back to Tessa, this woman owns her own profitable business, protects her friends ferociously, kicks her slime ball ex’s but, protects herself and stands up for what she believes in and herself. What more could you ask for.
Brock creates a perfect storm in Tessa though and it is wildly fun. She becomes hot and bothered to the extreme, she kills him with words and actions, and then his actions sick her on her ex like a rabid dog ready to tear him apart for the mess he’s gotten her into. Somehow she keeps it together long enough to get herself out of danger and keep her life together. She also discovers along the way she can forgive for love.
Brock on the other hand is a complete mess. Married to his job, loves undercover work (he says he doesn’t, but he’s super good at it), and has a crazy family that doesn’t help him in the relationship department. Somehow he realizes his desire to protect Tessa is actually him falling in love and lets her into his real life little by little while maintaining his cover. I’m still not sure how he does that, but he does.
In the end we get our HEA because it is Kristen Ashley–Which I love by the way. There is a little mystery put all the way through this series, but it really takes second place to the romance and personally I’m loving this series. I’m giving it a 5 of 5. The narrator, BTW is excellent. You won’t want to miss this one on audio if you like to listen.

Although romance is her genre, the prevailing themes running through all of Kristen’s novels are friendship, family and a strong sisterhood. To this end, and as a way to thank her readers for their support, Kristen has created the Rock Chick Nation, a series of programs that are designed to give back to her readers and promote a strong female community.
