Fly Girl’s Review:

I can’t believe it’s been over a year since her last Billionaire story. She came out with Breaking the Billionaire’s Rules in 2019 and I loved it so much. I can still remember thinking who does food delivery in costume. I wasn’t sure she could top that one, but I’m pretty sure it is on par. I mean it’s hard to out do a cat costume. Tabitha is a mobile beautician and does haircuts for CEOs around the city. She owns her own business with employees to boot.

She is very good at what she does, so she doesn’t need Rex in her life except to keep her on her toes and give her happy dreams at night–So she thinks. Rex on the other hand quickly learns how much he needs her. When she is hired to help him pull off an account signing, he sees her just for herself and not all her silliness. Underneath it all he learns about the vulnerable girl who’s childhood made her into the silly, happy-go-lucky person she shows to the world. She learns on their ten day luxury cruise adventure that there is way more to Rex than she could have imagined and she brings out the good in him for the people around him to see. He never showed that before except maybe to his closest friends.

Even though Rex seems like an mean-grumpy CEO, he is redeemable. This is important because this week I read a book where the men aren’t redeemable. This brought to my attention how much a story needs for the characters to be redeemable. In this instance, Tabitha needs some growth, but Rex needs to redeem himself in her eyes because his A**hole comes out big time. But when they finally come together, they realize how much better they are together than apart and how much more fulfilled they are in their everyday lives. The epilogue really helps us see this, so it isn’t directly in the story.

Of course we get the HEA we’ve come to expect from this series, but–with a teaser at the end of who the next book might be about. This will definitely make my TOP 10 List for 2020. So you can guess my rating is 5 of 5.
