Fly Girl’s Review:

I’ve been waiting with bated breath for this one. Sinclair plays a tiny part in the all the other books, but he is by far the most mysterious…and I couldn’t wait to read his story. It does not disappoint and Evangeline is the strongest woman yet to take control of one of these men. She is a badass FBI agent and knows how to handle herself just as well as Sin does. She is no wilting flower and would prefer pants to dresses and guns to lipstick. As a retired military member, she’s my kind of girl!

Although their relationship started much earlier in the Sex Club, she is definitely wanting to go the distance with Sinclair, but only if he’s willing to let her in on his truth. He’s into showing her how much he cares about her as a person and respects her as a woman along with some of his truth. He proves over time that he respects women and especially her and all her hidden talents. He actually kind of closes his club down in favor of a new start and she is the inspiration.

I was really taken aback by how deferential he was to Evangeline’s moods and sexuality when all he wanted to do was jump her. It really showed what kind of restraint I think men have when it comes to women they really want in their life. He also isn’t into any bullshit when it comes to winning her, he tells her straight up and she easily kicks it back at him. She isn’t interested in a relationship where she might be second fiddle or where she starts to believe she can’t do life without a man beside her. She keeps her self control as long as she can and then he sneaks in and destabilizes her carefully constructed walls. He even lets her fall for awhile before he puts out a hand and helps her up. They realize they can be partners and not inferior to one another and that makes the difference.

Stoni has a great way of creating a give and take, push and pull balance in this one. It is never one sided and that is different than I’m used to. Usually you have one character stronger than the other and one that capitulates while the other watches, but in this one she doesn’t do it that way. It leaves you a little off balance and really wishing for more. I can’t wait to see what she has for Sin’s twin’s story. I think his will be next. Overall, I loved this one and am still in love with the Touch men. Pick this one up and let me know if you agree or disagree with my findings. I’d love to hear from you.
