Cathryn Fox is a new-to-me author, and I’m always willing to try books by authors I’ve never read because I’ve found so many amazing gems that way. I still have a list of top favorites, but branching out is never a bad thing. And the blurb really interested me here. So I dove into Hooked on You and hoped for the best.
I got so much better than what I’d hoped for! Turns out, this book has a great mix of emotional, yet quirky. Those descriptors apply to the characters and a lot of the situations Kira finds herself in.
NICUnurse’s Rating: Hooked on You is a wonderful mix of an emotional tale told from both the hero and heroine’s point of view and some quirky and hilarious moments to keep the story flowing. You’ll fall in love with Kira and with Nate, but you’ll also fall in love with this small town. It’s most likely unlike any small town you’ve ever read about. And the townsfolk are quirky, unique, yet lovable and loving people. During a time when we all really need a heartwarming story, Hooked on You delivers heartwarming comedy in spades.
I give Hooked on You by Cathryn Fox 5 out of 5 stars!
