BlueSeal’s Review of Old-Fashioned by Kandi Steiner

I am in love…with 4 men.  You see, Kandi Steiner has written a series about the Becker Brothers who live in a small whiskey town in Tennessee and I’m not sure that I can pick just one to be my favorite book boyfriend.  The series started with On The Rocks, the story of Ruby Grace and the bad boy Noah. (Check out my review here: https://wickedcoolflight.net/2019/06/14/kandi-steiners-newest-book-on-the-rocks-is-live-today-be-sure-to-scroll-down-to-read-blueseals-review-and-find-out-if-this-should-also-be-on-your-summer-reading-list/).  The second book, Neat, is the story of Mallory and the nerdy brother Logan.  The musically talented little brother, Michael, and his girl Kylie share their story in Manhattan.  Grab your Tennessee sipping whiskey and let’s chat about Old Fashioned by Kandi Steiner (seriously, grab your whiskey but don’t shoot it…sip it).

 

And that leaves, the oldest brother…Jordan, the athlete.  Jordan has loved football since the very first day he touched one.  His dream was never to go to the NFL instead, he wanted to coach, to help shape the lives of young players.  He has done just that. Jordan is the head coach for the high school in his home town and they have won two state championships in a row.  Jordan wears the weight of responsibility heavily on his chest. The responsibility of being in the oldest. The responsibility to keep winning.  But there is someone new adding to his anxiety…a very attractive woman who has been added to his coaching staff. Jordan has watched his three younger brothers find their woman but Jordan felt that he was destined to be alone until the newly-divorced Syndey Clark walked into his locker room.

 

After putting her career on hold to be a mother and wife, Sydney was finally going to be an athletic trainer.  It was a dream come true and a new beginning for Syndey and her daughter, Paige. She wasn’t looking for a relationship.  She was looking for a chance at freedom…a fresh start. You can’t help but notice Jordan Becker. The man is “hotter than a Texas parking lot in the summer” and puts off energy that Sydney can feel to her core.  

 

Words cannot express how much I love this book!  Kandi Steiner is a top-notch storyteller who had me hooked from the first chapter of On the Rocks.   Each of these books is a stand-alone in theory. Yes, you could read the love-story and walk away but you would be walking away from the back story that is woven throughout each one.  We learned in book one that John Becker died in a fire at the distillery. His death is investigated by the family in each of the following books so you can’t read them out of order or skip a book because you will miss some very important details.  Seriously, how can one family have four equally hot men? Don’t believe me? Read the series and let me know what you think.  

 

My rating for Old Fashioned by Kandi Steiner….5 out or 5 propellors!  And for the series as a whole…5 out of 5 propellors!
