**Cait Sidhe’s Review of Mystic Desire**

I’ll be honest; It was definitely that cover that drew my attention to Mystic Desire. The colors, that fox…just gorgeous! It screamed perfect fall read to me and even though Halloween is over, I’m not ready to move on to snow-capped mountains just yet. Add to that a whole anthology filled with paranormal stories, and I’m in!. Anthologies can be hit or miss for me, but I love short stories because you get such a feel for the author’s style. Without a lot of time to develop the characters and further the plot, short stories can either feel lacking or make the reader want more stories built upon this world. In Mystic Desires, I experienced both of those things.

The stories range from erotic to sweet romance, spanning many different paranormal tropes from witches to angels to time travel. Some stories lean more towards horror with flesh-eating merrows and the zombie apocalypse, while others will satisfy the time travel romance reader. I loved that the paranormal aspects were so varied. My favorites of this collection were Love Knows No Apocalypse, Life Saving, and Love from the Mist. While there were a few that I didn’t care for as much, they were all well written, and I did enjoy the vast majority. 

If you are a paranormal romance fan, then you should pick up Mystic Desire. The stories are short enough that you can finish one here and there so it’s the perfect running errands type of read.  It’s such a varied collection that there’s going to be something for everyone! The great thing about anthologies like this is that, while you aren’t going to like every story, there’s plenty more to choose from! 

I give Mystic Desire 4 out of 5 stars for originality and paranormal heat!
