About BISHOP’S QUEEN

Return to the Endgame trilogy where blood is thick, but passion is thicker…

He doesn’t believe in fairy-tale endings…

They used to call Evan Bishop the golden boy. He had it all and was about to close the business deal of a lifetime, then marry the woman of his dreams. But everything goes to hell when a faceless enemy wants to destroy his family’s empire and see him dead. Except the bomb meant to kill him fails. He wakes up from a coma to find his face scarred and his brother missing and wanted for murder. Now that he’s damaged, he hides away from the world—including the woman he loves. He refuses to be a burden to her, so even though it destroys him, he sets her free.

She’s about to prove him wrong

Isla MacDonald isn’t walking away from Evan just because he’s decided to shut her out of his life. He blames himself for the bombing that got her father killed and nearly killed him—but he’s wrong. After all attempts to see him fail, with a broken heart she tries to resume her life and take over her father’s firm. Though it’s not her dream, she wants to honor his legacy. But when someone tries to kill her—twice—she needs a bodyguard. To her surprise Evan steps up and insists on protecting her, putting on a show as the caring fiancé. But he won’t let her back into his life or into his heart. To have any chance at a future together, they’ll have to resurrect the past and stay alive long enough to expose the man determined to see them both dead.

NICUnurse’s Review of Bishop’s Queen by Katie Reus

I feel like at this point I could just say that this is a Katie Reus romantic suspense book and I loved it! It’s no secret she’s one of my automatic 1-click authors. And to date, none of her books have been a bust, in my opinion. So, I feel pretty safe in saying that it’s really hard to go wrong with a book by this author.

Bishop’s Queen is book two in the Endgame Trilogy that revolves around the Bishop siblings. While it can be read as a standalone, I’m kind of a series junkie, so when it comes to a series by one of my favorite authors, I’m always going to recommend you read the previous books. And book one, Bishop’s Knight, was a great read, too!

Evan Bishop feels so much survivor’s guilt over the bombing that killed his now ex-fiance’s father. Not only was it his fault (in his mind) that her father was killed, now he’s so scarred he can’t make her stay with him out of pity so he pushed her away. All the way away. Isla MacDonald has been hit with a double tragedy. All at once she’s lost her father and her fiance. Now she’s just trying to move on with her life and finish the deal her father had started. But when it becomes obvious her life is in jeopardy, Evan rushes to the rescue. Will it be enough to prove to Evan he and Isla were meant to be together, or will he walk away from her once again?

NICUnurse’s Rating: I feel like I’m just going to keep repeating myself, so I’ll make this short and sweet. If you’re a romantic suspense fan, you need to read these two books and you need to read them now!

I give Bishop’s Queen by Katie Reus 4.75 out of 5 propellers!

Not long after that, she discovered a new love. Writing. She now spends her days writing dark paranormal romance and sexy romantic suspense.
