Falling For You, an all-new sexy and emotional brother’s best friend romance from Jennifer Van Wyk is available now!

JVW_FallingforYou_ebook.jpg

Fake it ’til you make it has been the motto I live by since my mother died.

I’m also doing a really bad job at the making it part.

The night we met, I was at my lowest.

But you gave me a reason to feel happy again.

For the first time in over a year, I feel optimistic.

You and I? We’re the same.

Don’t form attachments. Follow the rules. Don’t dream of a future.

Too bad our hearts wouldn’t listen.

And this storm we’re going through?

The one that threatens to rip us apart?

It doesn’t care that I’m falling for you.

Falling For You is a different kind of brother’s best friend romance and is as emotional

as it is sizzling.

NICUnurse’s Review of Falling for You by Jennifer Van Wyk

Falling for You is the second book in this author’s All for You series. I’ll be honest…book one, Gone for You, was not my most favorite of all her books. Don’t get me wrong, it was well-written, and the characters were very relatable. I just felt like there was something missing with the plot development. But that is MY opinion. You might feel differently, and I always encourage readers to give books a chance even when they are not MY favorites. Now, with all of that said, let’s talk Falling for You. Rex and Chloe’s story begins to be set up in Gone for You but this can absolutely be read as a standalone book. You will NOT miss anything if you start with this story.

Rex and Chloe live life by the same set of rules. Have fun…but no getting attached. Until they meet each other. Can they change each other’s rules or will life and circumstances break them apart for good?

Let’s just jump right in, shall we? I loved both Rex and Chloe. Both of them come from less than ideal pasts. Actually, Chloe’s wasn’t bad, but her mother’s death bed confession throws her for a major loop. But neither of them are so closed minded regarding a potential future that they can’t take a chance on love. The happily ever after type of love. And despite their past hookups or short-lived romances, theirs is a slow burn. And this is where I kind of love their story more so than Olivia and Ethan’s. In their book, I felt there were too many sexy scenes compared to the time spent developing their relationship. And while I’m a fan of sexy scenes, I prefer a bit more plot. Not saying it was a bad book (see my review of Gone for You for more details), but I definitely liked the plot development in this book so much more than in book one.

NICUnurse’s Rating: I’ve been trying and trying to put my finger on exactly why this book was the better of the two in this series so far. And I think it’s because this book seemed to be more like this author returning to her roots – her voice – so to speak. And that’s what made me fall in love with her writing style in the first place. So while I think it’s amazing that authors try to stretch beyond their norm and their comfort zones, apparently I’m more resistant to change in terms of my entertainment! But seriously, y’all, that’s 100% my problem. I give Falling for You by Jennifer Van Wyk 4.5 out of 5 propellers!

About Jennifer

JenniferVanWykLogo

From the Ground Up was Jennifer’s first published novel and now that she was bitten by the writing bug, has no intention of ever stopping. Jennifer makes her home in small-town Iowa with her high school sweetheart, three beautiful, hilarious and amazing kids, one crazy Jack Russell terrier. This is where her love for all things reading, baking, and cooking happen. Jennifer’s family enjoys camping, boating, and spending time outside as much as possible. You’ll be her best friend if you can make her laugh and follow up with asking her what to read next. When she’s not writing, you can find her cheering the loudest at her kids’ sporting events (read as: embarrassing them), sipping coffee or iced tea out of a mason jar with her Kindle in her lap or binging on Netflix.
