Three of SwordsFrom USA Today bestselling author, Willow Winters, comes a seductive and emotionally captivating, second chance romance.

It’s impossible to get over what we had.
He was everything–irresistibly handsome, ruthlessly elite, and seemingly untouchable–while I was nothing.
Yet he protected me when I was at my lowest; more than that, he wanted me.
He devoured me… and I did the same to him.
Until it all fell apart and I ran as far away from Madox as I could. After all, the two of us were never meant to be together.

I never thought I’d see him again, years later. Let alone be under him in the way I’ve craved since we said goodbye.

The attraction between us still burns like fire, but time can’t change the past. And I don’t know if it’s possible for us to mend all of our broken pieces.

Fly Girl’s Review:

This is a short novel but is so emotional it has you hanging on by a tissue. There isn’t a scene in this one that doesn’t wrench a tear from you. I’ve never read Willow Winters before so I’m not sure if all of her work is this heart wrenching, but this is definitely a change for me. This second chance is all out the romance and love between the two of them, and not really much else.

Maddox’s mom is the ultimate bad girl in their romance and really messed things up. Both of them really needed to grow up and live on their own before their love could survive the world around them, but it still hurt when you realized the time they lost. One thing you could tell from the beginning of the story was that she needed him to say, “I love you.” He just couldn’t realize it himself. Because of that I think it stalled the story and there could have been other obstacles to overcome than just his verbalizing it to her.

I wasn’t able to shut if off and sat in the car several times just continuing to listen to it. The story was super gripping and like I said, bring your tissues, you’re gonna need ’em. I’m giving this a 4 of 5 because I would have liked a little more of a plot storyline than what I got, but definitely a winner and much needed among all my sweet and suspenseful romance I’ve been up to lately. Also, the cover is awesome.
