What would you do for the one you love?
I traded my freedom for hers.
But then she betrayed me and left me to rot without so much as a goodbye.
You know how they say you need to forgive and forget?
Well, I can’t.
In fact, I’m good with never laying eyes on Kenzie Michaels again.
Unfortunately for me, life has other plans.
So when the woman who ripped my heart out of my chest – and stomped on it for good measure – shows up in my town, I’m left dealing with feelings both old and new.
And a single question that rules my every thought:
Do I give in and fight for the future we were supposed to have?
Cait Sidhe’s Review
Wrecked is the second book in the Willow Creek series, but can be read as a standalone. Wrecked begins with small-town sweethearts Kenzie and Brett caught in a moment that will change their lives forever. We catch up with them 12 years later, as Kenzie is running from her present and runs smack dab into her past! A broken down vehicle lands her right back into Willow Creek, and face to face with Brett Carter.
I’m a sucker for charming small towns and an even bigger sucker for poignant second chance romances, and if that romance is a slow-burn, turn on the coffee because we are going to be here awhile! This page turning romance is perfect to curl up with on a dreary, rainy day as the author meticulously weaves modern day with the wreckage of Kenzie and Brett’s past. There’s so much anger, sadness, and vulnerability between these two, but underneath all that, a tiny ember that is just waiting to catch fire again.
I’d always known that I would never completely be over her. How can you ever be over someone who used to be your entire existence?
This is one of those books that you feel in the pit of your stomach. There’s so much angst, not only between Kenzie and Brett, but in their own separate lives. Each of them has been living in a way that’s not true to themselves: Kenzie, becoming the perfect child her father wanted her to be, with her successful lawyer boyfriend and career, and Brett, dabbling in glass blowing, but feeling like life passed him by. Each doing what they needed to get by, but not fully understanding the betrayal that set their paths into motion. It was so satisfying to see Kenzie assert herself in the end, and more so to get the validation that she wanted. I’m trying very hard not to give anything away so let’s just say that ending couldn’t have been more perfect!
With a smoldering romance and a great cast of supporting characters, A.K. MacBride has you feeling all the feels. All the emotions, sometimes all at once! Beautifully written and engrossing, Wrecked is a heartfelt second-chance romance that will have you believing that love is something you should always stand up for and that it’s never too late for a new beginning.

The Wickedcoolflight Crew
Author of romances that leave you with ALL the feels.
She likes her coffee big and strong and her chocolate sinfully dark.
Living in a small town in South Africa, she’s afforded the luxury of being surrounded by mountains and waking up to birds singing their morning songs.
In addition to her coffee and chocolate obsession, she can’t say no to cheesecake or pastry.
When she is not creating emotional reads that tug on heartstrings, she’s busy being a wife to her best friend and a mom to a sassy little girl (whom she wouldn’t want any other way).
She just so happens to love stalkers, so don’t be shy and get your stalk on.
