R. C. Stephens’ Butt Ending is the follow up to Big Stick. Mind you that they are stand-alone books with common characters. This is the story of Oli and Sloan and what a story it is. Hold on for a wild ride with this sexy hockey player and the one girl that he can’t get out of his mind.

The lives of Oli and Sloan are so intertwined that it is hard to imagine that they are not a couple and if Flynn, Oli’s sister who happens to be Sloan’s best friend, has anything to do with it…they will be a couple. After catching them in an impassioned kiss a few years ago, Flynn has decided to find ways to help them along, which explains the road trip from Chicago to Oli and Flynn’s hometown in Canada. Oli and Sloan have chemistry in spades so that is not the problem. The problem is that Oli is broken. He has issues and his carefree, non-committal lifestyle of sleeping with a different puck bunny (or two) every night was all he ever wanted…until Sloan made him want more.

I went back and forth between loving and hating Oli and Sloan for that matter. I wanted to shake Sloan and tell her to free the bunny chaser and find a man that deserves her. Oli needed a dad to sit him down and tell him to not let the best thing that has ever happened to him get away. R. C. Stephens had me all up in my feelings. I laughed. I cried. I wanted to slap Oli. I got a little hot and bothered. I cheered but most of all, I could not put the book down. Butt Ending definitely deserves 5 out of 5 propellers!
