Fly Girl’s Review:

Do you want suspense or romance?  Maybe both…Well Aleatha sure delivers both in the start of her latest series.  This released a few weeks ago and I got a little behind in reading so I had to push back the review for this one.  But let me tell you, it was worth making the time for.  This one had me on the edge of my seat from the first page.  I mean you can’t help but keep reading when you read on the first page the mother tell the 16 year old her name isn’t really her name and gives her an envelope with a new identity in it and says her you go girl as she drops her at the airport.  Oh yah, also “don’t come back here (Chicago) ever.”

So Kennedy (There are too many names to choose from, so I’m using Kennedy) keeps her promise to her adoptive mother and stays away from Chicago until Sterling Sparrow lures her back with evil deeds. but love (I think) in his heart.  Once he has her in his grasp he makes her forget her promise to her mother to stay away from evil that goes by the name of “Sparrow.”  The chemistry they have with one another is palpable all through the rest of the first installment and I simply can’t wait for Dec 4th when book two comes out.  Will she listen to her mother and leave Sterling or will she finally find out all the secrets that he has to tell?  Is he really a bad guy or a good guy.  I really want to believe he’s a good guy.

She leaves us on a cliffhanger and you know how I hate those, but thankfully the next one comes out on Dec 4th.  I’m going to try to do a review on that shortly after it comes out so stay tuned.  If you are new to Aleatha and find you love her romantic suspense try her Into the Light and Away from the Dark series.  It is really awesome and I’ve reviewed them on the blog.
