My Quickie WeddingInstant. Attraction.

It heats the blood, causes the heart to race, and messes with the making of rational decisions. A person, may, for example, find themselves saying “I do” to a near-stranger on an impulsive overnight in Sin City.

The next morning, an aghast Connor Montgomery and Jojo Thatcher stare at each other over the tangled bed sheets. How had this happened? Neither is eager to acknowledge they followed a reckless urge and got hitched. Surely, it’s a bad nightmare.

Or maybe, just maybe, the beginning of a dream come true.

Fly Girl’s Review:

They meant short when they said this was a novella.  It took me an hour or two to read it and the time flew by.  Before I knew it, it was over.  This is the first book by Christie Ridgway I’ve read and it actually left me wanting more.  More of Connor and Jojo’s story and more of Christie’s work.

The story gets off to a quick start with a distracted brother too wrapped up in his dreamy new wife to hear what his sister is trying to tell him about her life.  It isn’t that he isn’t sympathetic, it’s just that he can’t get Jojo off is mind, or figure out how he met, married, and bedded her in one night.  He spends the next few days getting to know her as she helps her family at their B and B as well as the Heartbreak Hotel.  Obviously this family is deep in all the mystical nonsense that the Heartbreak Hotel somehow brings people together and creates lasting relationships.  Jojo likes to believe she is immune.  But did I mention she met Connor there in the bar one night.

Christie keeps us in the loop of all the family running the Heartbreak Hotel as she tells us this story, so you feel in a way like you have to read their stories.  So if you’ve got sometime, sit down with a cup of coffee and get to reading the Heartbreak Hotel series.  They are all standalone’s, but I feel they are better when read in order.  However, if you’ve only got a couple hours and want a HEA, pick this one up.  You won’t be disappointed.
