ALL I NEED_RB

All I Need, an all-new emotional standalone from Jennifer Van Wyk is LIVE!

ABOUT ALL I NEED

It took me years to get over my fiancé sleeping with another woman. I thought my luck with men had finally turned around until I walked in on my new fiancé with my maid-of-honor.

I’m done with men entirely. I’m definitely old enough to know better than to let that happen to me again. Trust isn’t something I have in me to give… to anyone. At least, Not anymore.

Besides, even if I wanted to give someone my everything, I have nothing left to give. Now, if Walker could be just a tad less handsome, his relationship with his nephew not quite as sexy and his body… well, let’s not get crazy. His body is just a gift to womankind.

The moment I laid eyes on Ellie, I knew she’d be full of spit and vinegar. And why wouldn’t she be? She’d just caught her fiancé with her maid of honor – and they weren’t chatting about the upcoming nuptials.

I can’t help but push her buttons, she’s sexy as hell when she’s fired up. Or cooking dinner with Miss Polly, or… well, any time, really. Maybe having her work for me in my vet clinic wasn’t the smartest move I’ve ever made considering I can’t stop my body from aching for her.

She said she was done with men entirely, that she’s broken but I can’t help but hope that she realizes she’s All I Need.

NICUnurse’s Review of All I Need

All I Need is the newest standalone contemporary romance from Jennifer Van Wyk. While several of her characters make appearances in each successive book, they truly are standalone novels. Welcome back to Liberty!

Ellie has had the worst luck with the men in her life, starting with her father. He left when she was young, and her mother made her believe it was all her fault. Then there was the college boyfriend, fiance really, who cheated. And this story opens with the groom cheating on her with her maid of honor, literally minutes before they walk down the aisle. In a move that would make Julia Roberts proud, Ellie leaves her own wedding, in a dress she didn’t REALLY want…in the groom’s car.

Walker is the town veterinarian who has always put everyone else first. He’s handsome, trustworthy, and loyal to a fault. He’s devoted himself to being like a second dad to his nephew, Grayson after his parents left his twin sister twisting in the wind when she announced she was pregnant…and not married.

Can Walker convince Ellie to trust again? Can she accept that his time will always be divided between a relationship and his relationship with his nephew? And when a blast from her past shows up, will she stay…or walk away again?

Side note: The first time I saw the title of this book, and when I saw the cover, this song just wouldn’t get out of my head. I took some time to really listen to the lyrics (’cause it’s been a hot minute since I actually listened to it!), and somehow, in my mind at least, this totally fits Walker! And if you’re a child of the ’80’s, you’ll understand why!

I have really loved all the men in all of this author’s books so far, but I think Walker is by far my favorite. He’s just…constant. He’s handsome, but not a player. Tatted up, but not a rebel. And responsible, almost to a fault. He and Ellie come from completely different backgrounds, but he doesn’t give up on teaching her that there truly are people out there that she can trust, and that deserve her trust. Their love is more of a slow burn because he handles her like a wounded animal. But he also studies her and listens to what she says, so he’s able to surprise her with all the things she’s never known she wanted or needed.

NICUnurse’s rating: This truly is a sweet read (but not to worry…plenty of sexy times!). The only let down was that I knew what the conflict was going to be long before it reared its ugly head. But I still devoured it as quickly as I could. So, I give this book 4 solid propellers. If you’re a fan of contemporary romance, I don’t think you are going to be disappointed in this book. The author’s writing is solid, and she definitely keeps you wanting to know more. And the fact that this town is full of swoon-worthy men everywhere you look has me wanting to find my own town like Liberty! I’m definitely looking forward to much more from Jennifer Van Wyk in the future!

About Jennifer

JVWLogo

From the Ground Up was Jennifer’s first published novel and now that she was bitten by the writing bug, has no intention of ever stopping. Jennifer makes her home in small town Iowa with her high school sweetheart, three beautiful, hilarious and amazing kids, one crazy Jack Russell terrier. This is where her love for all things reading, baking, and cooking happen. Jennifer’s family enjoys camping, boating, and spending time outside as much as possible. You’ll be her best friend if you can make her laugh and follow up with asking her what to read next. When she’s not writing, you can find her cheering the loudest at her kids’ sporting events (read as: embarrassing them), sipping coffee or iced tea out of a mason jar with her Kindle in her lap or binging on Netflix.
