Fly Girl’s Review:
I couldn’t wait for this book to come out. I read book one Discovering You and reviewed it earlier this summer and the cliff hanger ending made me need to read this one. It was worth the wait. This is not a stand alone novel, you must read Discovering You first or you won’t understand any of the references or the connection between Lucy and Justin.
Book two of the Indigo series is no less moving than the first one. Kate amps up the romance and sex in this book over the first one. She also gives Lucy some backbone that was very troubling to me in book one. Lucy almost gets sucked into her boss in this one that makes me a bit peeved because with today’s climate you would think this wouldn’t even be able to occur, but Kate writes it that way, so be sure you are prepared for that before reading. I think if you read book one you expect it though. Justin on the other hand turns out to be a more powerful and less creepy presence than he was in book one. He actually starts to let Lucy make her own decisions without pressuring her or making her decisions. This is a pleasant change.
For book three I think we are going to see the two of them begin to trust each other and work together to conquer their demons. We only get a small glimpse into the historical aspect of their relationship in this book, so I’m guessing book three will fill in the rest of the blanks. I personally can’t wait to see the finish of the story in the next book and like many of the character changes she shows in this one. Remember, this is another cliff hanger and the next book won’t be out for a while. I’m bumping up my score on this one to a 4.5. Maybe book three will be a 5. We’ll see.
