Book 2 in the Page Turners series!!
Single mom Maggie Hayes puts up a tough front to hide her loneliness, spending her days in the courtroom as a lawyer and her evenings as a closet video gamer. Another heartache isn’t worth the risk, not after her husband left her last year for a Hooters waitress. When she decides to try dating again, a cute video game-designing nerd seems like a safe bet….Until he becomes the prime suspect in a murder.
Jeremy Rogers makes a good living designing video games, but nothing prepares him for the real world adventure of being accused of poisoning his own employee. Add in falling for a sassy attorney with a competitive ex-husband, a clingy blonde coworker, and a mammoth-size dog that eats his furniture. Suddenly fighting off a screen full of zombies or preventing an alien invasion seems like child’s play.
Maggie and Jeremy find themselves embroiled in a game of death threats, lies, and betrayal. Maggie must learn to trust again while playing the most dangerous game of all. Because defeat could mean not only losing her heart, but also her life…
Women of all ages will enjoy this tale of humorous, women’s fiction, mixed with a touch of cozy mystery in this small town love story.

Fly Girl’s Review:
Can’t hardly believe I started this book on Audible just a few days ago. I just couldn’t wait to tell you all about it. This romance/mystery series is superb. Jennie Marts has a way of sucking you in and, even after the HEA, making you beg for more.
So we get a glimpse of Maggie and Jeremy’s story in, Another Saturday Night and I Ain’t Got No Body, so I wasn’t sure how I was going to like this book. I was sure we knew everything, but believe me we did not! So the murder happens to an employee at Jeremy’s software company and the riotous route the quest for truth goes is hella’ funny. I mean who doesn’t love a story that starts out in an outhouse and ends on a back porch with a dog at their feet. Yah, she has a dog as a main character again. I’m pretty sure by looking at Jennie’s Facebook page you’ll know she is a dog lover.
Back to the story. The twists and turns Maggie’s love story takes is crazy from the Ex-husband that needs a place to stay to the Hot Cop who can’t keep from keeping her in the loop, if you know what I mean. But best of all is her laying awake at night pinning for Jeremy and running from her bed to his arms. And did I mention the mystery. She weaves it very well. About half way through I figured it out, but I kept listening. You ask why, because of the romance story, of course!!!
You know I love a good HEA and Jennie delivers again for me. I bet if you listen to book 1, you’ll be just as hooked on this series as I am. I just need the next one, Just Another Maniac Monday, on Audible. But until then I have to auto buy it. So OBVIOUSLY, this is a 5 for me. Hopefully I can fit the next one in soon on my schedule, so stay tuned for more Page Turners novel reviews. And Jennie, put all of them on Audible soon, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!
