The Truth About Us is the second book in the Truth Duet, and yes, you DO have to read book one, or you will be completely lost! This is the conclusion to Cora and Penn’s story. And what a conclusion! At the end of The Truth About Lies (book one), it seemed as if most of the plot twists had been revealed, and I was left wondering if there was really that much left of the story to tell. And holy crap was I wrong! Seriously… you guys know my reviews are usually at least three paragraphs, but I’m still left with, “What?! I did NOT see that coming!” And I’m still a bit speechless over the ending.
This duet is definitely a 5 propeller read! It’s truly a roller coaster ride from beginning to end. There are moments of extreme highs, that lead to the of fastest falls to devastating lows, only to level out for a short time before Ms. Martinez has us climbing, falling, twisting, and turning all over again. I devoured both books in mere hours, as I could NOT stop turning the pages. Trust me. These bad boys are more than worth the price if you don’t have Kindle Unlimited. I still love her On the Ropes series, but this duet is my new favorite by Aly Martinez!
