Fly Girl’s Review:
OK my passengers, You will not believe this, but I just read a Vampire story and LOVED it!!! Let me say that one more time, because I’m sure some of you are so shocked since on several occasions I’ve said I don’t read Vampires or Zombies. I LOVED book!!! This story caught me from the get go. It’s about the Templar’s and ancient Egypt…all the good stuff in the world. If you haven’t noticed, I love history. But truly the hot Vampire, and I don’t mean Twilight broody-shimmering vampires, but close to real life vampires with feelings, desires, dreams, and a conscience, made this story for me. It showed his evolution and showed vampires in a different light for me.
There was tons of action, historical facts and figures, hot sex, and true romance of the passionate, first kiss, first sex kind. The type where you are so obsessed with the person you just need to touch them and you get giddy inside when they are around. That’s the type of romance Marianne wrote in this one. The cool thing is she kept that kind of hot love throughout the whole story and since this is part of a series, I assume we’ll get to see it stay just as hot in upcoming books. This book can totally be read as a stand alone. I wasn’t sure when I read the synopsis and saw it was a series, but it can be. There isn’t much about the other characters from previous books so you don’t get confused or have other sub plots to follow to closely.
I am definitely giving this a 5 of 5 propellers for you all. Whether or not you like vampire stories, this one is so good you should give it a try. If you hate it, you can comment or email us to say what a crazy blogger I am. Happy Reading!!!

Who am I? Well, that’s a good question. When most people think of romance suspense authors, the image of Kathleen Turner as Joan Wilder in ‘Romancing the Stone’ usually comes to mind. A lonely woman sitting in a bathrobe and fuzzy slippers, conjuring lovers and adventure in her imagination. In other words, one step away from being the neighborhood cat lady.
If that description made you cringe, then you know how we writer’s feel. Thankfully, for most of us that image is far from accurate.
I have been married for 23 years, have three beautiful kids, two dogs and a cat. I am a 2nd degree black belt in traditional Japanese karate and as I’ve said, I love to travel and my romantic and spontaneous husband shares that passion with me, so my stories get plenty of inspiration!
In the meantime I am also a founding member and previous President of The Paranormal Romance Guild, a not-for-profit organization for readers and authors of the genre. Of course, I’m still writing and when I’m not ‘bichok’ (butt in a chair hands on keyboard), I’m off with my hubby and our kids to exciting destinations.
Cat lady? I don’t think so.
Thank you for such an amazing review! Not everyone likes emotional rollercoasters or darkness in books…or history, for that matter…but I live for it in the books I read, so naturally all of the above occurs in many of the books I write. I’ve dabbled in “Girl Porn”, but I’m never happier than when I’m writing from the soul and Condemned certainly poured forth from there.
All the best, and thank you so much…again. 🙂
