ELECTRIC IMPULSE invites you on a journey of self-discovery, immersing you in a tale of Intense Attraction, Brazen Passion and Wild Love.
In this New Adult Romance, Aria Davenport is a girl with a plan. Meet the family. Graduate from college. Get engaged. And it’s happily ever after. Only that’s not quite how things work out. Preparing to walk across the stage, snag her diploma and make her mark on the world, she can’t wait to experience adulthood bliss with her beau. But unbeknownst to her, he has different plans. She’s blindsided when, the day before graduation, he dumps her in front of everyone at his family gathering.
The traumatic breakup reignites her once forgotten childhood issues of abandonment. She graduates with a dismal outlook on life. How can she recover from such a stunning blow?
In walks Phoenix Prescott, a Forbes-celebrated real estate mogul. He just so happens to be a VIP, seated at one of the tables she waits on at Club Lotus. The moment he sets eyes on Aria, he can’t turn away. Her unassuming beauty and fiery personality make her a magnetic allure that Phoenix wants to possess. And he’s used to getting what he desires. Being a wealthy playboy comes with its share of perks.
Just entering his air space is enough to send her hormones into a frenzy. The mutual attraction between them is explosive and their sexual chemistry overrides good sense. As much as Aria tries to ignore it, she finds it insurmountable. And running into him outside of work doesn’t make it any easier. Her curiosity becomes more than she can bear, as the slightly older, more sexually experienced businessman begins hijacking her fantasies and dominating her thoughts. He’s the perfect package. He knows how to have a good time. And it’s no secret, he’s mouth-watering eye candy.
Will she let down her walls long enough to take another chance on love? Will his secrets or her insecurities end it all before it’s begun?

Fly Girl’s Review:
I’m about to show my age, so everyone hang on to your “knickers, panties, underwear, thongs,” whatever you say these days. We were approached by Angel to read her debut novel and give our honest opinion about it. I picked this one, it sounded interesting. I love a down on your luck kind of girl hooking up with a very rich man. Also, everyone else on the crew is way crazy busy. I mean, I’m way crazy busy too, but had an opening. I know it sounds like I got the short straw, but that isn’t it at all, we love it when people approach us to read their work. It’s so much less trouble than having to look for ourselves.
For a debut novel, Angel has a good team helping edit and publish her work. It’s refreshing to see authors who take the editing process seriously. Also, the story was interesting and it grabbed my attention from the beginning. Unfortunately it didn’t hold it. It took a very long time for me to read this one. I’m not going to go into the blurb particulars, because it’s all there above. I want to get to the nitty, gritty of the review.
The way she goes back and forth from present to past, and back again it almost made my head hurt. I would have to read the first bit of each chapter over to see which part of the timeline I was in. The present timeline was just a tiny snippet for those chapters and it drove me crazy, I think some of them could have been combined into one longer chapter so you didn’t feel so much like you were thrown around in a car wreck where you only see flashes of light. I’d say don’t go towards the light, but I know there are readers out there that like that kind of suspense.
Also, she uses her voice in this novel to discuss to the final degree the difference between the have and have-nots. I understand this is a big issue for younger people right now, but romantic fiction is supposed to lighten the mood, not make me want to sell my car for a less expensive used model. I want fiction that makes me warm and bubbly inside, like champagne on a romantic date, unexpected but desired. She really goes at this point when Aria is getting dumped by her rich so called “Good Boy” boyfriend in front of his family. A lot of that scene I had to read twice to figure out where it was going. it was very confusing.
So with that said, this book wasn’t necessarily for me, but I definitely think if you are in your earlier years of romance reading and have a desire to see the world righted one unlucky have-not at a time this is your in-flight cocktail. Oh wait, you might not be old enough for a cocktail, so maybe this is your First Class seat to happiness. Angel, keep writing; everyone has a right to be heard and your audience is out there.
