Fly Girl’s Review:

This is the first Samantha Chase novel I’ve read.  She’s been on my TBR pile for a while now.  I first met her at RT’16, but really connected with her at an event in Raleigh, NC last year.  She was gracious enough to sign lots of books I had gotten at a few RT conventions.  We gave those away over Christmas as one of our big holiday giveaways, so unfortunately we don’t have a giveaway this time.  I’m sure I’ll see her at an upcoming convention, so I’ll be sure to pick up some more swag for you passengers and we’ll do another giveaway later this year.  If you have the chance to meet her you will not be disappointed.  She has an infectious smile and personality that lights up a room.  She is one author, if you meet her, you will not forget.

Would you do things differently if you woke up one day to realize what an ass you’d been your whole life?  That is the wake up call Dylan Anders receives in this book and the story follows his path to redemption and permanent life changes.  Addiction, romance, ungrateful family dynamics, and a strong hero and heroine headline this book.  Although there is no sexual content in this story they do end up with a HEA.  Samantha truly tells a unique genuine, soft romance.

My favorite scene is when Paige breaks down in the garage over her flat tire and how Dylan just eggs her on by delaying her ability to exit the scene gracefully.  But truly the most heartfelt scene is when he has her in his bed after she’s sprained her ankle and kisses her but walks away.  What kind of a guy does that?…the hero we all dream of!!!

I truly forgot how wonderful soft romance is to read.  The energy and emotional rollercoaster is written so well and left me thinking about my own relationship.  Sometimes soft and gentle is what the heart needs.   I’m giving this a 5 of 5 propellers based on how I finished it over a week ago, but it’s still with me.  That’s what one friend says makes a 5 of 5 book.

So there you have it, The Band On the Run series is really good and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes an emotional rollercoaster filled with honest moments and makes you look at things in your own life.  Also, the whole band is HOT!!!  I can’t wait for the next story.  Samantha, thank you for bringing us such a wonderful love story and please think of me when you get your next book ready.  I’d love to read it…
