About INKED MEMORIES
The Montgomery Ink series by NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan continues when the final Denver Montgomery sibling refuses to fall for his brother’s former flame—the company’s new plumber.
Wes Montgomery watched his entire family fall in love, and now finds himself ready to settle down. Except the one person he seems to find chemistry with is not only his twin’s ex, she also works for Montgomery Inc. But when the two find themselves in one compromising situation after another, Wes realizes he’s having second thoughts about the dynamic woman who’s burst her way into his life. Sure she sets off his temper, but she also makes him hot in every other way possible.
Jillian Reid never loved her best friend like everyone thought she should, so she pushed him away so he could have his future. Now, despite fighting it, she finds herself attracted to the one man she shouldn’t. When her father’s health takes a turn for the worse, and a danger no one saw coming show its face, she’s forced to turn to Wes for help. The two of them have fought off their attraction long enough, and each cave to the desire. But this enemies-to-lovers tale might have an ending no one ever dreamed of.

Fly Girl’s Review:
So this one starts a little slow. There is steam and raised hackles right away in it that quickly disappear and turn into secretive glances and compromising situations. I can’t remember seeing a guy be looking for love as badly as Wes, but in this one it works. Jillian is just looking for a family to love and a little respect in the male dominated workplace. She finds both with the Montgomery’s.
Carrie Ann put some comedic relief in with all the sex and steamy looks. If you’ve read any of her shifter novels, this is a welcome change. As for the comedy in this one, there is a saw horse scene that will make you wet your pants. I mean it is about a construction company so it does make sense. I won’t spoil it with anymore details. Just keep reading.
I’m giving this one 4 of 5 propellers only because I felt it was slow in the beginning and the mystery box plot wrapped up too quickly at the end. The family death and the hospital visits seemed to be the best parts other than the sawhorse scene. Carrie Ann, I’m still looking forward to the next group of the Montgomery’s, but I think I’m more interested in your shifter novels. Those are more up my alley than the contemporary.
