About DESTINY DISGRACED
The Talon Pack continues with a new twist to the Packs and a revelation no one was prepared for.
Mitchell Brentwood is aware that others think he’s the harsh taskmaster Beta trying to keep his Pack alive, but they only see what he wants them to know. He’d once thought he had his path laid out before him, but when his future was violently ripped away, he vowed he’d never let anyone close again—especially not a young wolf from a traitorous Pack.
Dawn Levin may be younger than the war that destroyed her people, but she knows she must still pay for their sins. She’s ready to find her way in this new world where wolves and humans blend as one, but first, she needs to fight her attraction to the dark wolf that stands in her way.
While the two struggle with their feelings and burning attraction for each other, they can’t ignore the world that shakes beneath their feet. There is a new enemy on the horizon, one with revenge and the unknown on their minds. An adversary that might be closer than they realize.

Fly Girl’s Review:
I have to admit that although you’ve seen a lot of Carrie Ann Ryan’s work on our blog, this is in fact the first book I’ve read by her. I met Carrie at RT Convention ’16 and ’17 and had the chance to chat extensively with her. Her bubbly personality had me so intrigued I’ve been trying to fit one of her books in since then. So at long last a shapeshifter novel came up…and you all know how I love my shifters and paranormal romances…so I snatched it up. I definitely wasn’t sorry. Although this is part of the Talon Pack series, you can read it as a standalone. Carrie gives you enough information to get the gist of what happened between the packs and the humans and who the major antagonists are. Don’t be surprised if you aren’t saying to yourself, “I’ve got to read the whole damn series now!!!” I know my TBR pile just got a whole lot bigger.
This is a story of two people one who is destined to find another love and one who is trying to climb out of a disgraced life she inherited, and so we have the title Destiny Disgraced. My take on it. If I get to interview her, I’ll be sure to ask. She really built Dawn’s character the best. She follows through very well with her feelings of inadequacy when her pack gets formed and her emotions feel real. Mitchell’s anger and deceit are written strong, but I really think she nailed Dawn more. The other part was the assigned roles each person is given in the pack were almost like in a company or a family and it worked for me. I have three dogs and I love to watch their pack mentality and it’s interesting to see who will be the enforcer, the alpha, the caregiver, and so on and so on. There was some very good sex, maybe not as much as I expected. I mean they are literally dogs in heat, but I’ll take the caring, loving side of things once in awhile.
There is one beef I have with the story. It would have been better if Mitchell never thought about how some wolf’s end up losing a mate and finding another one. I think if that had been a mystery until he resolved he was going to love Dawn no matter what and then someone told him there was lore about being able to find another mate when theirs died, it would have been better. Once he thinks about the whole mating science and he tells about being able to mate again after a death, you just want to hit him upside the head and say, “Go get her!!!”
I would give this 4 out of 5 Propellers just because of the one issue. Will I read more of her books….Yes, Yes, Yes!!! Keep ’em coming Carrie.
