Sheâs Penna Carstairs.
The Renegade they call Rebel.
FMX-treme Magazineâs sexiest female athlete of the year.
Thereâs no rule in extreme sports she hasnât broken,
No gender barrier she hasnât demolished.
Sheâs the woman I met in a bar in Vegas.
The woman I illegally BASE jumped for.
The woman I spent one insane, incredible night with.
But now Iâm screwed.
Or ratherâ¦not screwed.
Because the woman I canât get out of my head is the one woman I can never touch again.
Iâm Dr. Cruz Delgadoâthe youngest professor on this campus,
And Penelope Carstairs just walked into my class.

âOh God, donât do that.â
âThat.â He pointed toward my mouth. âEverything I told you in Vegas is still true. Youâre still gorgeous, still sexy as hell, still everything that draws me in like a damned magnet, but youâre also everything I canât have. Donât you get that? When you pull shit like that on the dance floor, you successfully drive me batshit crazy, watching you in some guyâs arms.â A small laugh escaped him. âLike that kid has any idea what to do with you if he actually managed to catch you.â
âAnd you do?â
His eyes darkened. âDonât challenge me like that.â
The tension stretched between us for a quiet moment until I broke the silence. âI didnât kiss him.â
âIâm well aware, because if you had, Iâm not sure if I could have let him walk out of here, and thatâs dangerous, Penelope. You are dangerous to me.â
âIâm sorry,â I said truthfully. âLogically, I know nothing can happen between us. I get it. But I see you, and all I can think about is the way you kissed me in Vegas. The way you touched me. I canât just erase those memories, Cruz. Like I said, somehow you make me do stupid things.â
âYou? I make you do stupid things?â he nearly yelled, and I was thankful for the loud, driving beat of the music beyond the office doors. âWoman, I got into a strange car for you. Illegally BASE jumped off a Ferris wheel to stay close to you. Went to jail for you, and I make you do stupid things?â
He stalked forward, his movements smooth like a predator, and a low hum filled my stomach, growing stronger with every step he took.
âI let you stay in my class. Stupid. I look for every reason to run into you, while simultaneously praying youâll stay far away because I need this job. Stupid. I take one look at you in that fucking dress, and Iâm so hard Iâm afraid I canât hide it in a room full of students. Stupid. I canât stop thinking about the way you taste, the way you open up under me, the way your nails left little half-moons in my shoulders when I found how wet you were for me.â
If he got his hands anywhere near me, heâd find out I was just as wet now. God, his words were the biggest turn-on Iâd ever experienced. Next to his abs. Or his arms. Or his mouth. Crap, the man was one giant sex package begging to be unwrapped.
âCruz,â I whispered as he cupped my face with one hand, his thumb rubbing over my lower lip, while he caged me against the desk with the other.
My tongue licked across the tip of his finger, unable to help myself.
âGod, Penelope. You could cost me everything, and yet Iâm still in here with you. And this might be the worst choice of all.â
His mouth met mine in a kiss that sent my senses reeling. His tongue swept in, claiming every curve he might have missed last time, until it felt like my mouth belonged to him.
DON’T MISS THE OTHER RENEGADES BOOKS!
Iâm Paxton Wilder.
Motocross phenom & adrenaline junkie.
I have more tattoos than scars.
And Iâve never seen a stunt I couldnât pull offâ
Or a girl I canât get off.
Until she walks in.
My new tutor is sexy, smart, more stubborn than I am, and one hundred percent off limits.
Thatâs rightâthe only rule this semester is Donât Touch the Tutor.
For the first time in my life, I want someone I canât have.
Sheâs the girl who obeys every rule.
Iâm the guy who breaks them.
Our biggest risk is falling for each other,
But I live for riskâ¦
The only heart he wants is the one he already brokeâ¦
Heâs Landon Rhodes.
The Renegade they call Nova.
Sinfully gorgeous, broody, tatted-up, professional snowboarder.
Four-time X Games medalistâ
They say a girl broke him onceâ
Thatâs why heâs so reckless, so driven, so careless with his conquests.
But Iâm that girl.
They can call me his curse all they want.
He and I both know the truthâ
Heâs the one who destroyed me,
And Iâm not the sucker who will let that happen again.
About REBECCA YARROS
Rebecca Yarros is a hopeless romantic and a lover of all things coffee, chocolate, and Paleo. She is the author of the Flight & Glory, Renegades, and Legacy series. She loves military heroes, and has been blissfully married to hers for fifteen years.
When sheâs not writing, sheâs tying hockey skates for her four sons, sneaking in some guitar time, or watching brat-pack movies with her two daughters. She lives in Colorado with the hottest Apache pilot ever, their rambunctious gaggle of kids, an English bulldog who is more stubborn than sweet, and a tortoise who might be faster than the bulldog. They recently adopted their youngest daughter from the foster system, and Rebecca is passionate about helping others do the same.

*****************************Â NICUnurse’s Review **********************************
My favorite Rebecca Yarros book has been âFull Measuresâ since I found it about in March of 2014. It was the first book of hers I read, and it made me fall in love with her writing. Since then, Iâve read all her books. Thereâs not one I wouldnât re-read. But âRebelâ might just knock âFull Measuresâ off the first place podium!
This is the third book in her âRenegadesâ series. Each can be read as a standalone book, but you really do have a more full reading experience if you read them all in order. I actually had this in my Kindle for almost a week before I read it. I had to wait until I had several uninterrupted hours before I could start this book because I knew once I started, I wouldnât want to stop until the end. And oh boy⦠was I right!! I DEVOURED this book in about 5 hours!
âRebelâ is part extreme sports, part romance, and part a coming into your own story. Penna (aka âRebelâ) is struggling to find herself again after a fairly life altering injury. Sheâs also struggling to come to terms with the cause of the accident that so severely injured her. One crazy night in Las Vegas and Cruz enters her life. Heâs older and sees all of her. Not just Rebel. Not just Penna. He sees Penelope. This is their story. And thereâs SO much to their story.
âRebelâ seriously gives you ALL the feels! Rebecca delivers the ups and downs of a âforbiddenâ romance, the ins and outs of people desperately trying to figure out who they are and what their futures should look like, and just a tad of suspense thrown in just to keep you turning the pages, instead of putting the book down! Honestly, this story pretty much blew me away. Besides the romance, thereâs the side story of Cruz himself that Ms. Yarros slowly builds and reveals. And that, my friends, is the part that blew me away. I can only imagine how much time she spent researching for this part of the plot. And ladies⦠Cruz is the most swoon-worthy character of all of her male characters yet! (Sorry Josh⦠thereâs a new man in town!) Heâs hot (thatâs a given), determined, loyal, and loves his sister and grandmother fiercely. Heâs determined to make the best possible future for them, even if itâs at his own expense. And then he does the same for Penna. Check out this Cruz quote:
âYou are a headstrong, independent, stubborn woman surrounded by a sea of boys, when what you craveâwhat you needâis a man. One who isnât going to hold you back but isnât afraid of you, either. One who knows the delicate balance between watching you fly and protecting you, so you donât fall. Hell, Iâm not sure any of those boys would even know what to do with you if you ever let them get their hands on you.â (GAH! Seriously people ⦠how awesome?!)
But Cruz isnât the only one in this relationship willing to give 110%. Rebel gives as much as Cruz. Sheâs literally willing to risk it all (more than once) for her man. Cruz sums her up so nicely:
âKnowing that a woman that fierce was willing to risk it all to ask in the first place nearly took me to my knees. Everything about Penelope was my undoing. It was like sheâd been created specifically to torment, tease, and utterly enthrall me.â
And the references to âAn Officer and a Gentlemanâ are epic!
If you like contemporary romance, I honestly believe you will LOVE this book!
âRebelâ is a fabulous end to The Renegades series that wraps it up in an amazing way. This is definitely a 5 propeller read!
