NICUnurse’s Review of Fighting with Honor
This book is the latest in the Men of Honor series. And while most of those can be read as a standalone, this one should NOT. You can, but you’ll miss entirely too much and will not get nearly enough out of the story.
In my reviews I try to be honest so here’s me being honest. I have loved every one of the Men of Honor books so far. And this one did not disappoint! It’s kind of like the most epic epilogue for the series. I know there’s more coming a ways down the line, but it was a good way to show a bit of closure for this part of the series and a sly segue into her next, highly anticipated, series. And the ending… did not see that coming and it was done in a really smooth way. As much as I enjoyed the entire story, I think that was my favorite part!
So this is a novella that is mainly another of Jax’s stories, but everyone makes an appearance. I love that the kids are as close as the parents. They really are a family who takes care of one another. And even though the events in the story kind of leave you hanging as to how they will all cope, you see them already being there for each other as they begin to heal from this. And it’s so hard to say much else about the story without it containing spoilers and I really hate doing that. I want you to be surprised by the story and not bored because you know how it’s going to go. What I can tell you is that you won’t feel like this book is a waste of time or money. At. All. Especially if you’ve followed the Men of Honor series. The story pulls you in from the beginning and I literally HAD to read from start to finish without putting it down. So yes, I will give this book 5 propellers! What are you waiting for… go get it! Now!
