Review
Ride Hard, the first book in the Raven Riders Series, is rough, loud and steamy as you would expect 
from Laura and her MC. Dare Kenyon is the president of the Raven Riders and good friends with Ike, who we met in Hard As Steel and Hard As It Gets, Dare also makes appearances in the Hard Ink Series, the first time is in Hard As You Can. Ride Hard begins after Hard To Let Go the fighting is over and it’s time to party. Dare is Celebrating with his brothers at the clubhouse.
We first meet Haven Randall in Hard To Come By, she is one of the girls the Hard Ink team rescues from the church gangs storage area. In some ways Haven reminds me of Sarah from Hard As You Can yet where Sarah take the abuse from Bruno we see the fight still in her, she’s protecting Jenna. Haven on the other hand doesn’t seem to have much fight at first. Her father conditioned her not to. So she comes off as meek, and scared of everyone around her except her best friend Cora.
From the get go both Dare & Haven have a connection, yet their past holds them back. Haven has to learn how to trust someone with a past similar in some ways to her father, and Dare has to forgive himself for actions out of his control.
Can these two put their issues aside and find what they are looking for in life and love? Maybe. But Laura will make sure it’s one hell of a ride to get to an HEA. As we’ve seen with all of the men and women from Hard Ink (and yes I’m including the Raven Riders) nothing is simple or easy. Because let’s face it life and love aren’t simple or easy either. Dare, rides hard, he lives hard, he parties hard, and there is no doubt that he will love hard. He will push and pull Haven into the woman she was always meant to be if she wouldn’t have had an ass of a father. In turn, she will save Dare from himself. Finding ways so he can move passed his past and find peace.
