“Black Dawn” by Cristin Harber

This book was number 8 in this author’s “Titan” series.  It can be read as a standalone but you definitely get more out of the backstory if you’ve read all of the other books in the series.  It is a romantic suspense so if you’re just looking for a romance, this book isn’t for you.

This book follows Parker Black’s story.  He’s the firm’s computer guru who is almost always as cool as a cucumber in all situations and doesn’t allow himself to feel emotions because of his past.  Until Lexi Dare comes along.

I give this book 5 stars.  The pace is pretty fast and there were no parts that I wanted to skim over, as I tend to do in some books I read.  Since I’ve read all of the other books in this series I really do anticipate each new book because I’m a bit invested in the characters and just want to know more of their stories.  I like a bit of mystery with romance and this book definitely didn’t disappoint.  I felt like it actually had a bit more action than the others and I really liked that.  There’s also a bit more of former characters’ stories in each successive novel and that’s part of what keeps me coming back.  I feel like I’ve gotten to “know” them and I want to know what happens next for them as well.  And now I’m ready for more Titan!

“Sweet One” by Crisitin Harber

This is book 9 in the “Titan” series and a novella that follows Cash and Nicola’s story a bit more (from book 2, “Garrison’s Creed”).  It picks up right where Cash was injured in a previous book and answers some lingering questions about his injuries and his recovery as well as some questions regarding Nicola’s past and how those are resolved so that they are truly free and clear of their pasts and able to move on building a marriage and family

Since I’m pretty invested in the series, I give this one 5 stars as well….. and still can’t wait for more Titan!
