The world is a pretty straightforward place. Even for medium Sara Stone things seem pretty simple, aside from the whole talking to spirits bit. But when the spirits get too hard to handle and Sara ends up admitted to a mental hospital, the world starts to seem a lot less straightforward. First her family disappears, including her four year old son. Then she gets the sneaking suspicion that not only are the staff at the mental hospital somehow connected, but they also have no intention of ever letting her leave the hospital.
Everything changes when Sara has her first visitor in three months. Daniel is handsome, friendly, and a complete stranger. When he promises to spring her from the hospital and swears that everything she’s experienced is completely real, Sara has no choice but to believe him. But once she reaches a run-down Victorian house in the tiny Alabama town her rescuer calls home, the last thing she expects to discover is that every memory she has is a lie.
Daniel reveals a world filled with angels, demons, and an impending war humans know nothing about. Sara wants to ignore her role in the whole mess – all that matters is solving the mystery of where her son has gone. But the forces of Heaven, Hell, and the Heart have other plans for her. Can she find her child before the world comes crashing down?
Talk about a crazy situation we find Sara Stone in. Right from the get go, as Astrid introduces us to Sara you know its going to be a rocky ride. I mean how often do we find ourselves in a mental ward when we meet our lead character.
Poor Sara. She really doesn’t know if she’s coming or going. She’s lost everyone she’s ever cared about and is being told one of the best aspects of her life never existed. To top it off she sees dead people. In fact that’s why she’s in the hell hole she’s in. Now all she wants to do is get out, find her son and find away to make the ghost disappear. Pretty much in that order.
So it didn’t come as a surprise when someone comes to help and she jumps on the
Daniel however is in a worse place then Sara. He’s lost so much and he doubts he’ll ever get it back. Yet he had to try but cause what else do you do for the love of your life. His patients is tested time and and again as he and Sara bump heads.
He wants to ease her into information and she just wants to storm into the unknown any and every way she can damn the consequences. Consequences though can always come back to bite you in the ass as Sara and Daniel are learning.
So how do you fix a mistake you don’t remember making? And how do you stop a war when you don’t remember you’re past. And most importantly how do you save the man you love, your child and yourself when all hell is about to break lose and you
can’t remember what your roll is or why you thought hiding was a good plan.
Join Sara as she gets taken on this wild ride, to learn who she was, is and will be.
