Meet Resident Poet Sharon Johnson

From the time Sharon Johnson learned to write, she had one dream, to become a writer and author. Writing has always been the one constant through every moment, both good and bad, in her life. She started with basic Haiku and rhyming poems; then later, she started writing simple one to two page stories. She’s always kept journals documenting her life and those of her children. Through every poem, story and journaled event, she never stopped looking for what she calls her ‘Charmed’ book. Year after year the book never came, until the summer of 2013, when a two to three page idea max, turned into ten then twenty pages and kept growing from there. It became clear within a very short time, her characters had much more to say and their story was far from over. And that’s how ‘The Chat Room’ was born. Eighteen months and a lifetime later, her dream finally became a reality in August 2015. There’s a saying she’s created as a part of her daily mantra; “Never stop looking for your happy ending, because your story isn’t finished yet…
Just a few fun facts 12625994_573649112786835_1309807284_n
She never tires of intellectual stimulation in whatever form it comes. She’s never met a stranger she didn’t like or couldn’t crack up in the first ten minutes after they meet. She loves to read anything romantic or erotica. She also writes poetry, as well as short stories and has a following on Facebook that grows weekly. She has the heart of a twelve year and considers grown-ups boring and not much fun lol. She prides herself in being able to sit Indian style and touch her face to the floor and she loves NFL football. There’s never been a pizza she didn’t love or a piece of chocolate she’d ever say no to. And most importantly; she never forgets how blessed she is and how important it is to tell those in her life how much they mean to her.

About wickedcoolflight

Wickedcoolflight’s first flight took off in the summer of 2010. Back then, two of the crew lived in Hawaii, while the other crew member was in Las Vegas. When WCF began, it was more as an outlet for author and crew member, Teresa Crumpton, to get her name out there. In fact, for six years it was primarily her author blog. That was then, and this is now. In 2016, the blog changed, and is still changing and becoming what the crew envisions it will be. In April 2016, as Teresa was preparing to publish her first novel, she twisted her bestie’s arm to go to RT with her (she didn’t have to twist hard). At that RT, Teresa talked Fly Girl into doing some reviews for the blog, especially now that Fly Girl had a shit-ton of books to read. (She still has a pile from that event!) During that event, we received this off-the-wall book that neither Teresa nor Fly Girl would read, but we laughed our asses off about it. NICUnurse had called Fly Girl while we were in Vegas, and we told her about this book. While Fly Girl and Teresa couldn’t contain their laughter (Teresa came close to hyperventilating), NICUnurse said she’d read it. We gave her one stipulation: she couldn’t pass the book on to anyone else. We had to keep it. Later that year, NICUnurse wrote her first review for WCF about that book. A few months later, unbeknownst to NICUnurse, Fly Girl and Teresa were making plans to bring her into the blog, and Teresa was moving to change the blog from her author blog with a few book reviews, introductions, and Interviews, to partner with her friends. By 2017, the blog was truly underway.
