Flyboy and I took a trip into Italy over the weekend. We started out in Aviano on Thursday before heading down to Venice on Saturday. I have to say Venice might be one of my favorite places in the world. I loved walking everywhere or we took the water bus since there aren’t any automobiles on the island. More things I loved. There was so much to see and we did a fair bit of seeing all that we could without rushing. It was a fairly relaxing weekend.

We checked out Murano where all the glass blown glass is created. We walked the Rialto Bridge and San Polo. Then we hopped on the water bus and headed down to San Marco. The wine, food and gelato were all delicious. I can’t wait to go back.

The one thing I didn’t get while in Venice was a Venician Mask. It’s something we’ll pick up on our next trip in.

Flyboy however did get me a nice pen set made out of Murano glass and silver. I even got a ink well, not made out of Murano glass though they do make them, I thought they looked more like old perfume bottles.

I even got some writing done. I’m up to chapter eleven. Now I just have to figure out where I’m taking book 2.
