Rejection and Poetry

I’ve had a few rejections come in lately but my spirits aren’t down. It just making me see that Legacy may need a little more work and so may my synopsis. ;) But while I’m cleaning up Legacy I want to keep my name out there so I’m going to start submitting my poems to contest/ magazines in hopes that some form of my writing gets published and I might get seen. I need to clean up a few pieces that I have on hand, and I don’t have all of it. most of my poetry is boxed in storage from the move. I never really thought this would be something I’d be doing so I didn’t think about keeping it with be as Flyboy and I traveled across country. Now I see I’ll have to type everything into the computer once we are settled in so this doesn’t happen. That is the one bad thing about being of the old thought, and writing everything down on paper before you type in, you don’t always have it when you need it. So think about that if you’re like me it can come back and bite you in the ass at a later date. I’ll keep you posted.

Tomorrow I’ll have the first of my reviews up.

Reviews, Pitches, Poems

I’ve finished all the reviews I’ve been working on. I’ll post all the reviews this week plus you’ll see them on PBD. I just don’t know when, so I’ll post the reviews for you. I did just finish reading another YA that wasn’t to bad it was Lauren Kate’s latest, Passion and I’ll try and get a review for that done as well. She has one more coming out for the series. I’m not sure if I’m in love with it. I really like the first book, the second was pretty good this one I’m not sure about. So I’m not sure how the review will go. You know I don’t like to give spoilers and for the review to be any good that’s what I’d have to do. But I’ll give it a shot anyway.

Pitches I’ve been doing a lot of pitches. Savvy Author lets its members pitch to editors its only three lines but hey three lines is three lines and its getting the word out there. So that’s what I’ve been doing pitching Legacy. Here’s the pitch.

Author: Teresa Crumpton

Title: Legacy
Genre: Urban Fantasy/Paranormal
Word Count: 90,000
Most people inherit money; Alexis inherited hell…

A house’s thirst for blood, along with the secret murders performed by a demon doctor will expose a family secret when a young empathic law student inherits her family’s long forgotten haunted house. Things get interesting when deceased relatives arrive to help Alexis learn about her true Legacy.

Hopefully I’ll get a bite.

I’m thinking about sending some of my poems in to see if I can get them published in Magazines, I’ll let you guys know how that goes.

Pitch, Reviews & Article

I pitched Legacy again today. I sent two book reviews to Paperbackdolls and I’m working on a third. I have also started working on my next article. Things are looking good today. Lets hope it stays that way.

Reviews, PBD, Short Stories

I still have two reviews to write however I’ve talked to the ladies over at Paperback Dolls and asked if they’d like me to start doing reviews for them as well. They said yes, so I’m going to write my reviews for Neon Graveyard and Kitty’s Big Trouble for them. I also have two more books that I’m reading right now and I’ll be writing reviews for them as well. At the end of the month Jim Butchers latest Dresden comes out and I’ll write a review for that book as well. So hopefully PBD will have a few reviews from me here shortly, and so will you guys. Also you should know that PBD has a need look and place to visit so if you had it saved from one of my other links make sure you save this link.

The reviews will be done no later than tomorrow so be on the look out I’m not sure when they will be up on PBD but I’ll have them up this weekend for sure.

As for the short story I’m still working on it, and I think its coming along. It’s a good back story for Brenton, and how he becomes one of the villains in Legacy. It will take the readers up to him finding Alexis.

I’m thinking about moving Wicked Cool Flight over to wordpress. I’ll let you know when it happens.

Happy 4th

Its been a busy week, Flyboy and I went and saw Transformers. It wasn’t bad, not what I was excepting on a few thing and I’d watch it again so if you want to see it I’d say go see it. I’ve been reading Carrie Vaughn’s latest Kitty Norvell novel and its really good, and yes I know I still owe you a review from Neon Graveyard. The short story is coming along as well for Legacy.

Flyboy and I have also been buying furniture and applicance for our new house which we close on at the end of the month.
